Dr. Augustin A Lin, DO

Dr. Lin is amazing. yes, his office is small. Yes, they don't have a huge staff. Yes, they don't take debit/credit cards. But.... He spends at least 1-3 hours with me per appointment depending upon what the reason for my visit is. He genuinely cares about me and my care. He gives solid advice and medical care. He treats you like you are the only patient he has all day. His office does text messages - often he has text messaged with me directly, after-hours and on weekends. Dr. Lin has bent over backwards to provide me amazing care. My old insurance dropped him - and I did everything I could to change my medical insurance because I absolutely will not go to any other doctor as long as I can help it.

This was my first visit to Lin’s office because of new HMO insurance. He was assigned to me by Scan Prime HMO with CareMore, but this inconsiderate person could not CareLess about how long I had been waiting to see him! I walked in at 11:15 am for an 11:30 am appointment, and there was only one patient in the waiting room ahead of me. I filled out papers until 11:30 am. At 11:30 am, the patient ahead of me was shown into an exam room. He did not come out, until 12:08 pm. At 12:10 pm I was shown into an exam room, where I waited, until 12:30 pm. I finally got up to ask, “What is the reason that I am being made to wait for so long? My appointment was at 11:30 am. I have been waiting for an hour, and I am the only person here?!” His assistant Sadie got up to look for him, as she reached the end of the hall, Lin walked out of a door. I said, “What is the reason? There is no excuse for this behavior. I am the only one here!” Lin, instead of apologizing for his inconsiderate behavior… actually ORDERED me to go back into the exam room so that “we can talk about why he had been making me wait.” Then he said, “I was making notes about the previous patient!” Then he ORDERED me again more emphatically, “Go in the room, and we will talk about it! You will be getting your care here!” He said as he pointed his finger into the room. I then said, “No! I am leaving, and I will be making complaints about you!” Immediately, I called Scan Prime to file a grievance about his incredible rudeness, ordering me around, NOT APOLOGIZING, and acting as if he’s justified in spending 40 minutes with the only other patient that was in the office before me, then taking another 20 minutes writing notes about the same patient! All at my expense! Remember that my appointment was at 11:30 am! Unbelievably rude, inconsiderate behavior from this CareLess doctor! I filed a grievance and requested a change in Primary Care physician!

I have been going to this doctor for a couple months and hoping that we would eventually like him but it's only gotten worse. We told him my husband needed a referral for a sleep study and he said it shouldn't take a long while to get one. It's been six months and we have reminded him several times about it but he says there's nothing he can do. I told him I was pregnant and refused to look at what prenatal I was talking because it was wrong and he sent me to do blood tests because he wasn't sure I was pregnant even though there is sufficient evidence pointing towards me being pregnant. He spoke down to me every appointment and used air quotes whenever he talked about alleged pregnancy. Who says that to a patient's face? Telling me that I'm ALLEGEDLY pregnant. I have filled a grievance.

I CALLED THEM WANT TO MAKE APPOINTENT, BUT NO BODY ANSWER THE PHONE, AND AFTER I OUT OF WORK THEY CLOSED, BAD OFFICE!!!!!

He is awesome he takes his time with his clients. I would recommend him

This is by far the worst office I have ever been to. The front office staff is ride and lazy. The overall staff allows personal judgements to hold rein in the workplace which leaves patients in pain and untreated. I was told I would receive a referral in two weeks max. I didn't receive this referral until about seven weeks later. Each time I called "their computer systems were down". Seems highly unprofessional to me. I would call weekly multiple times and receive vague and unsatisfactory responses. Unfortunately I've now had to file a claim against this office and I hope no one else ever has to have a negative experience as I have.
