Dr. Austin Gahlib Al-Kazaz, MD

This is the worst doctor I have ever had the unpleasant experience to see. I am only assuming he is a true doctor but honestly I was doubting this guy's credible and his lack of empathy and understanding was beyond even being a human being. I can only hope you avoid this doctor and at the very least check him out before going to him. I wish I had. He was awful.

I have never written a review before - really because most of the doctors are professional and knowledgeable. Until Dr. Karaz!!! This doctor did not listen, was incredibly rude, and treated me for something that later the next week another doctor had to correct. That doctor even asked me for information on Dr. Karaz and was concerned that a doctor would even suggest this treatment. I agree with the other comments.. avoid this doctor at all costs.

I had one experience with this doctor while my doctor was out of the office. He was the rudest man ever and I ended up walking out of the office. I actually complained about him to the practice and was told I was not alone in my experience with him. I not only felt he was unprofessional and arrogant but he was also incompetent. Avoid him at all cost.

Dr. Al-Kazaz took care of me in the hospital and provided wonderful care. He was kind and informative. He took time to contact my family as well. Some of these reviews must be about a different as he is a hospitalist so you cannot make an appointment with him.

Exceptional Hospital Physician

Dr. Al-Kazaz provided excellent care while I was in the hospital. He listened to me and was very compassionate. He explained the plan in great detail and answered all my questions. I only wish he was a primary care physician so I can follow up with him when I left.

I went to go see him as a new patient this past year, I described my illnesses and how I need advise on living a healthier lifestyle and if there is any way I can see a nutritionist to help aid in making changes me with my daily food menu. Ar. Alkazzaz replied, "all I can recommend for you is to lose weight you don't need to see a nutritionist you just have couple extra pounds that needed to be worked on, and you should be fine." Like seriously is this how a doctor treats his patients??? I am a type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure patient who also suffers from osteoarthritis, I was seeing a physician at the Riverside Family Practice for over 20+ years but as I grew older and weaker they weren't helpful with my medical and healthcare needs, mostly student residences were working there and they didn't know how to help treat me. So, I changed doctors and started seeing Dr. Al-Kazzaz. But, honestly speaking for a young physician like him who has "6 years," of patient experience he has… no experience in diagnosing patients, he is awfully rude and seems confused when you know what your saying but he doesn't care so he acts like "okay I am the doctor your treatment is by my rules." He thinks he knows everything but he doesn't know or care of how his patients are feeling. I am almost 69 years old and I have never seen someone like Dr. Austin Alkazzaz, who is very rude and ignorant when treating his patients. He has no morals or empathy. I thought I can get help here but with a doctor like him who takes advantage of his title is not a doctor I recommend seeing for your healthcare needs. There's so many well-respected, patient, understanding and empathic physician in the Columbus area who deserve you as a patient and will treat you right.

Dr. Al-Kazaz was very caring and informative. He not only helped with treatment, but he was very thorough with instructions and when to follow up.

Terrible "bedside manner" . He had an Arrogant demeanor, Didn't listen to MY symptoms and just kept talking about all the other patients that call too soon for their symptom management. Every time I would describe my symptom, what I have done for it, and how it is just getting worse or new symptom developing He would just dismiss everything I would say. He also acted like I was a "bother" for even wanting checked out. You could hear his kids screaming in the background...not very professional either. Despite my worsening symptoms over an 8 day period with high fevers and what is an obvious sinus infection and pink eye...he "prescribed" me to continue what I was doing and that "I would just have to weather the storm" . He ended the conversation with "don't forget to drink fluids". If you ever use "Healthiest You" portal / supplemental phone MD and you get the "Dr." Al-Kazaz...HANG UP!!!! Don't waste your money!!!!

The most egotistical physician I have ever had to deal with. Won't listen to your concerns and it's either his way or no way. How can a doctor possibly know what you need or don't need just by a phone consultation when they refuse to listen to you and they have a chip on their shoulder.
