Dr. Aytac Hilmi Apaydin, MD

My experience was so awful that I will not use any hospitals within the San Benito and Monterey County areas when I have kidney stones in order to avoid having Dr. Apaydin as my urologist. To make a long story short, here are the crib notes. He is constantly overbooked and always in a hurry to get to the next patient. He had to reschedule my DJ stent removal three times due to claims of not having anesthesia until I demanded that he remove it without anesthesia due to the excruciating pain and discomfort I endured throughout the time it had been inserted from May 2022 through July 2022. The only pain management I received during this entire time were two samll prescriptions for acetaminophen with codeine after expressing that codeine does absolutely nothing for me and I would need something stronger which resulted in several days of not being able to work due to pain. Wait of almost an hour for a scheduled appointment. Partner retired a year ago but name still on the sign. Asked for urology sample and noticed several full sample bottles in the restroom with no sterile prcautions. Sample never examined or discussed. Brief new patient consultation with no exam. Recommended cystoscopy procedure. Which we declined. Other patients found references to Medical Board sanctions and Payment of 1 million + to settle Medicare false claims act allegations. Suggest care in using this provider

Seeing the negative reviews posted about Dr. Apaydin just has me baffled-I in no way shape or form have ever experienced any negativity from this doctor. He was extremely through and very caring. He answered all of my questions and was very kind. I highly recommend this doctor if you are having any urinary issues. Probably waited 15 minutes to enter his office but that seems pretty regular.

Google Aytac Apaydin. He’s up to no good with the law! Beware... he will say and do anything to get you to get radiation treatment even after a prostatectomy he performs himself???

I was recently seen at SVMH for a large kidney stone that needed urgent surgical care. Dr Apydin was the only Urologist on staff & I 100% refused to be seen by him. I would rather leave the hospital in agony & pain before being a pt of his. He has treated my husband, a co-worker & a family member in a span of 2years & everyone has had a negative experience. From multiple procedures, to extended (very) appointment wait times (over packed waiting room) & dates, (i.e. 3-5 weeks out). He zooms in & out of the exam room like you are an inconvenience & babbles on like YOU are supposed to know what is supposed to be the next step in your care. (Experience w/my spouse) I would never recommend this Dr. if my life depended on it. I was seen at another Urologist office.. kidney stone issue taken care of w/in one week. Unlike anyone I personally have talked to under Dr. Apydin’s care.

Dr. Apaydin was the best urologist I had when I lived in Monterey. I had been to several urologists for multiple Kidney stones. It was Apaydin who finally solved the root cause so i would no longer get stones.

He is in a hurry to finish with you and get you out!! Money is all that is on his mind and playing baseball with the youths somewhere..........He doesn't care to hear your problems and justs wants the next person to enter....a real peace of work!!

I went in because of an elevated PSA count which could indicate prostate cancer. I got the initial check up and was told I would need a biopsy and that I would be called with the schedule. I waited 8 days and called the office. The scheduler said "I was going to call you." I red the poor reviews before I went to this doctor's office and I went anyway. I agree with all the poor reviews now that I have had one office visit. I'm not going back.

I was referred to DR A by my PCP for Rx of prostate ca. He referred me to his radiation center without ever discusing that it was his and that there were other options. Afte talking with folks on the internet I found that surgery was a better option for me and my particular issues. He wouldn't even talk to me about surgery. What a crook
