Dr. Babatunde Kolawole Abolade, MD

I have tried multiple times to contact this office and I have been unsuccessful each time. Phone does not ring, nothing but silence! Until i get a message stating the phone number basically does not work! Terrible. I would prefer they have an email available since I have tried to calla nd I have been unsuccessful. This is really annoying and I need an appointment.

I was diagnosed with ADHD about 10 years ago and looking to get back on a treatment plan. Dr. Abolade prescribed me Vyvanse (at my request) for 30 days BUT did not believe my diagnoses enough to continue prescribing further and asked that I be tested in Tuscaloosa (3 hrs away) all in my first visit. When I called him asking for a testing site in town he became offended and dropped me as a patient altogether. I was fine getting tested but I felt it was a bit much requiring me to go somewhere half way across the state when, surely, there are places here in town (the capital). As well, he wasn't confident in my diagnosis and required testing YET was ok prescribing me a drug I had never taken--again all in my first visit. I find all this concerning coupled with the fact that as a psychiatrist and doctor he dropped me as a patient rather than inquiring on my wellbeing, understanding my requests of another testing site, or politely explaining why things had to be done this way.

Am very sick. He spent less than 2 1/2 minutes with me. Asked about my Mom's medical history. Did not even look at my list of meds. Told me he could not help me. I would not call him a doctor let alone a psychiatrist. Do not waste your money. With his poor attitude, don't know why anyone goes to him. Totally apathetic.

I had an appointment with him for 3 months. When I went in, he asked who my previous Doctor was, I told him and because my previous Doctor is under investigation, by no fault of mine! He told me to leave his office now! He is the most rude, hateful and never even listened to a word I said. I could have slit my wrist outside his office and he wouldn't have cared!! If you want a sympathetic Doctor, don't go see him!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!

He has helped me tremendously! Without his help, I would be in a really bad place (mentally and emotionally).

Dr. Abolade treated my son for ADHD. He always listened to my input and was genuinely concerned with how my son felt about and was affected by the medication. He never pushed a political or social agenda on us in any way and never mentioned anything other than how the medication was working and how my son was doing with school and every day life. He is a good doctor.

I was a little hesitant about seeing this doctor to begin with because I could not find many reviews, but my insurance has EPS which means if I see one of their doctors I am covered 100%. Dr. Abolade was very nice. I saw a med student first, then was taken to Dr. Abolade's office. The doctor was very polite, and listened. He offered a diagnosis and answered all of my questions associated with it. He also offered me several different options for treatment. I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Abolade, and I am going to take my son to see him next month. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Abolade pushed his personal political and social agenda when he discovered it differed from my own. I found it very offensive that he would do that in front of my child.
