Dr. Babur Bari Lateef, MD

I had bad experience with his Manassas office ladies was on the front desk very rude I made appointment 15 days go and then I go to appointment today I drove 30 minutes when I told them I have a appointment for eye exam I was told I didn’t have any appointments today they totally denied I didn’t called them for appointment they asked for if I have called records to show them and I showed them my call records first they said maybe computer didn’t saved it and were making a excuses. And very rude.very disappointed. Definitely not going there anymore

Let me first say that it was my daughter's, not my own, appointment. Regardless, it will be the last time we ever EVER visit this location. Due to the sensitive nature of the problem, all I will publicly say is this. Anytime your 18, in high school daughter, comes back from an appointment... And the feedback received is, "Dad, the doctor didn't seem to care about my eyes, but was more interested in my personal life. I had to tell him I was in high school three times. I felt extremely uncomfortable"... Well that's cause for concern as a parent. I called the office, spoke with the office manager, and a while later the doctor (I use this term loosely) calls me back. He explained to me about how the appointment went (after speaking to his years of practice and professionalism). He then proceeded to explain to me how there were people around the entire time and nothing inappropriate was said. He then explained to me that this was a misunderstanding, reassured me that there were not two… sides to this story... just his side. He then felt the need to further explain that my daughter had obviously misconstrued the entire situation and he apologized for her perception. Not sure how that works... but I am interested in understanding. After all of this, he then felt the need to highlight his wife's professional accolades. I wonder if his wife would care to better understand her husband's acute interest in the personal life of his 18 year female patients.

Dr. Lateef is an astute gifted ophthalmologist. His bedside manner is refreshing, his precision in providing the diagnosis, plan forward with potential options allows the patient to make a decision with all the relevant facts. He restored my sight to a level I didn't know was possible. It was like being able to see for the first time. I am so grateful.

I was told I had to wait over a month to have a procedure to clear a blocked tear duct. The doctor only does this procedure one day per month, only in one office, and only in the middle of the day. I had to take a day off of work and drive 45 minutes to get there. I waited in the office (with no air conditioning) for 40 minutes before I asked why others who arrived after me were seen first. I was told that I would not be seen for another hour because the doctor had two procedures before mine and he was a "little behind." I would not recommend to anyone.

Long waiting periods and a Hurried Assessment and Diagnosis prompting multiple visits for Correction.

Horrible customer service. I am scheduled to leave out of town this week so a week and half ago, i called the office to order a copy of my prescription. They only mail or you have to pick-up the copy. I asked it be mailed. I checked the mail daily but nothing. After a week, I had to call them to be told, the copy hadn’t been sent because “they ran out of stamps.” Such an inconvenience, don’t waste your time and money on “professionals” who aren’t sentimental or remorseful!

He is an excellent doctor who gives time and attention to his patients. I am so glad he is my doctor!

I am very happy I selected Dr. Lateef . Both he and his Staff have provided me with excellent care. I have recommended Dr. Lateef to many of my Friends .

I went to Dr. Lateef for vision correction surgery. The entire time of the consultation was about upselling me to additional "better" procedures for my eyes. Left me with a bad taste. I decided to chose another Doctor that was not so focused on raising the price.

Dr. Lateef is my family eye Doctor for the last five years. I am happy with the time and care that he gives us and especially to my three kids .Thank you Dr. Lateef!
