Dr. Bantwal Prathibha Baliga, MD

Dr. Baliga's review by me is going to be pretty much unanimous with the other reviews she received. Her office staff is very rude. They are very loud, and they give no privacy when it comes to your medical issues. She did not take the time to listen..and makes very quick assumptions about you. I asked for her NPI number so I could report her and she wouldn't even give that to me. She kept saying loudly, "You can Google it." I was very disappointed...it was my first and last visit, because I immediately booked a new primary care provider.

Thorough, keeps up with all tests & immunizations. Regular blood work. Last doctor in Phenix City (years ago) put her down but Dr. Baliga is kind, caring & has caught conditions this male doctor never tested for much less found ! So happy I left Dr. J (for Joke).

There is no end to your waiting.

I was a patient of Female Bantwal P Baliga earlier this 2018. I had to wait 3 hours after my scheduled appointment before I was taken back by nurse and seen by nurse. Then I had to wait again 35 more minutes. It was so crowded I had to wait on Female Bantwal P Baliga in the hall in the back and she talked to me very loud, hateful, hurtful, UNPROFESSIONAL, showing no mercy and hostile in the hall in front of other patients who could hear everything she said to me and about me. MY PRIVATE INFORMATION WAS STATED OUT LOUD SO OTHER PATIENTS COULD HEAR. She was rushing me away, not even listening to what I needed. This month I got a voicemail stating I had an appointment with a doctor. When I went I asked the desk clerk who was the doctor I saw the last time I was here and the clerk told me I was a new patient and clerk said I never been there before. I asked another question because I knew I had been there before. An hour and 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment the nurse took me… to the back, FEMALE Dr. Bantwal P Baliga and My Eyes meet off a distant. I turned and headed toward the door to leave. The nurse yelled my name and said where is she going. I said I was leaving. I did not stay to get seen because I remember how FEMALE Dr Bantwal P Baliga, yes SHE, had treated me earlier this 2018 year. I just wanted to escape from that entire building. I got back to the front desk and told them I wanted my 3 IDENTIFICATION cards. Then I was told my appointment was NOT with HER - Female Dr Bantwal P Baliga. They said it was HIM, Dr. Bantwal S. Baliga, her husband, the endocrinologist. I told them I do not want to see anyone here. This female, BANTWAL P BALIGA, FAMILY PRACTICE PERSON, was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, HATEFUL, HURTFUL, RUDE, SHOWED NO MERCY, TRIED TO INTIMATE ME, NO BEDSIDE MANNERS, TRIED TO BELITTLE ME, NON- COMPASSIONATE, SHOWED NO MERCY FOR NONE OF MY ILLNESSES, GAVE ME NO MEDICATION, which I would not have taken anyway after her hostile treatment. While even waiting in the waiting room a man waited to have lab done and after 20 minutes another patient told him that if he would go and let them know he only came to have lab done that they would do it. That patient went and told the clerk all he needed was lab done. The clerk told him to go back and take a seat and wait until they call him for lab. Both me and the patient that had told him to tell the clerk was shocked. The man said he was on his lunch break. The desk clerk was not helpful. FOR MY PROTECTION, I WILL NOW MAKE A LIST OF DOCTORS NEVER TO GO BACK TO NO MATTER HOW MANY LOCATIONS THEY HAVE IF THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL, ETHICAL AND DO NOT OBEY THE OATH ALL DOCTORS HAVE TO TAKE TO BECOME A DOCTOR FOR EVERY PATIENT THEY SEE NO MATTER OF RACE, SOCIAL STATUS, RELIGION, WHERE THEY LIKE THE PERSON OR HATE THE PERSON OR HATE THAT PERSON WAYS, IDEALS, ACTIONS, OR WHATEVER!!!!!!! To begin with, the office staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. The bathrooms in this office are disgusting. There is generally bugs flying around and pee on the toilet, floor and sink. The wait isn't long, but that's due to her not having too many patients. If you need a quick appointment with no answers, then see her. You will leave with only more questions, tests to be done which you cannot afford, more medication than your body can handle, frustration and a follow up appointment for no reason whatsoever. See a different provider if you want answers to your questions. She would be better as an URGENT CLINIC for diabetes than a primary care physician.

Love how she would sit down and take time to listen. When going over test, may sure I was able to understand it and took time to answer my questions.

Dr.Baliga took the time to listen to me. She wasn't in a rush and cared about what was going on with me. I even received a phone call 2 days after my appt. to make sure I was feeling better. If there were more Doctors like her, the world would be much better off!

Office staff is not friendly. Dr. Baliga loves to send send you for a referral. Hope you like to wait. she does seem to care.

Dr. Baliga listens to what you have to say she does not cut you off or interupt you. If you have a concern, questions, or want to know details about the medical condition she will talk to you about it and explain things to you on a non-medical level and she does not make you feel like you are bothering her or taking up to much of her time. She makes you feel as though you are the only patient in the building right then and you are what matters the rest can wait till you are satisfied. She also takes the time to call her patients personally with any concerns in tests instead of having office staff call you that can not answer any of your questions... she is a great doctor!
