Dr. Barbara Miriam Chubak, MD

Well the first time I met her she was awesome (didn’t like that she inspected me with no gloves down there at first though - second time she used them but still found it odd ), but she was good for about a year then afterwards got a bit more and more off putting and lazy with call backs. I have a bit of personal emergency and never hear from her months on end . A doctor friend of mine whom recently retired from Mt Sinai says this is common from her . Oh well finally found someone better in SI ! She’ll probably pay for the removal of this again and pay for Go ogle reviews but it’s ok all my tenants in Bklyn in my buildings know now. Sheesh no honor / integrity anymore ! Eh wish her all the best

I agree with the reviewers in this site. I had he same experience. After completing the test she asked me to do, I never received a call to explain them. I sent her two messages requesting a comment on he tests,I never got an answer, I never had this experience with any doctor before.What is the purpose of having tests done if you never tell the patient their meaning?

On positive side a very good visit and doctor was attentive. However, when it came time to refill prescription it was the worst experience ever. It took call after call after call for the doctor to finally put order through. I even had the Pharmacist call. This took place once and then again on second refill - over a week wait without medication. There will not be a third try because the aggravation is not worth it. Very disappointing, unprofessional. I dont understand how this is allowed to take place at Mt. Sinai.

she never called me with my results. when i called to follow up with her, her staff told me i had to book an appointment to get my results (never experienced this before in my life) and there were no appointments for two weeks. refused to pay for another appointment in order to get my results so i had my results faxed to my pcp who called me about them.

I saw Dr Chubak in her office in pain and discomfort with UTI like symptoms. Tests were done, I was not called with the results, after seeing them in the patient portal I called the office to discuss with her. They said they would leave her an urgent "high priority" message. No response, never heard back. I've called over 5 times over the course of two weeks and left a message in the patient portal. Nothing. No call back. Impossible to reach. Then I receive a no-reply message from her staff telling me to schedule a video visit appointment- earliest availability in a month. Why would I schedule another visit when you didn't even finish my first visit? Wait a month as I continue to get worse since you didn't help me at all? I paid for testing and never had the results discussed with me as my symptoms continue to get worse and worse. So I guess she has a habit of just ordering tests and then leaves you high and dry. No communication at all. Impossible to reach her. Urgent messages get no… response. Basically does not care about her patients at all. Just happy to take your money. Avoid at all costs.

Just had a video appointment with Dr. Chubak. She started the meeting exactly on time, listened to my reasons for the appointment, asked me pertinent questions and gave me suggestions for next steps. She was approachable, knowledgeable and explained my options clearly. When the video froze, she called me immediately to continue the consultation by phone. I wish all doctor visits could be this pleasant and helpful!
