Dr. BARBARA DUNE, O.D. is a BOARD CERTIFIED OPTOMETRISTDr. Barbara Dune (OD) is the owner/ practitioner of Serenity-I-Care. Recently, She has been practicing as an optometrist for 30 years. Dr. Dune graduated with a B.Sc. Ophthalmic Optics from the University of Manchester in the UK after which she worked in Southern Africa for 14 years, the last 5 of which she ran her own full-scope practice. During this time Dr. Dune also studied for and received her Masters in Public health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the UK. Dr. Dune then moved to the US and got her Diploma in Optometry from New England College of Optometry in Boston US. For the last eleven years, she has been practicing in Hartford CT. In 2020 Dr. Dune founded and launched Serenity I Care where she provides adult and adolescent eye care and has been co-managing diabetic and glaucoma patients. She specializes in dry eye management and low vision.
