Dr. Barbara C Holbert, MD

Was in need of Medical assistance and called my long time doctor, Dr Doyle. Was informed that he had past away, so called the main MGH tel. for a referral, resulting in my connection with Dr Holbert. Dr. Holbert gave me an appointment over two months from my request. I went, was examined, got a script called to my drugstore- for pain-NAPROXEN. Dr. Holbert wrote me a letter saying someone will be calling me to schedule a return visit appointment. That did not happen. I called Dr. Holbert's office to renew my prescript. and the recording told me the office was open, my call would be handled in order. I am now on the line as I type this. I am on waited recording for over one hour, actually it is 5:50 PM now, I called at 4:20PM. I am in pain, need pain medication, at the least. My previous appt. was at 4 PM. so I know that they have been open in the past at this time. This would not have happened with Dr. Doyle. Poor Service- is the least negative comment I can connect to this behavior.

Dr. Holbert is very thorough and caring, She is a really good listener and has a great bedside manner. I would recommend her without reservation!!!

Dr Holbert is an awesome doctor. She is very knowledgable yet she is so easy to talk with about anything. She is great about responding to emails, getting prescriptions refilled quickly, etc. She keeps same day appts for emergencies, so I can almost always get in to see her same day when I am sick. She is superb.
