Dr. Barbara Dale Morgan, MD

I've never had a more terrifying Dr./Patient relationship in my life.

I had the displeasure of meeting Dr. Morgan when she worked in Moscow. I have had migraines my whole life and have seen multiple neurologists. I tried Dr. Morgan and was so disappointed. After a lengthy exam and multiple tests, she advised that I cut a large amount of food out of my diet. I explained to her I had tried all of this before but she didn't believe me. After two months I came back after changing my diet with no changes. She simply gave up on my case and told me the reason I had migraines is because "MY MOTHER PROBABLY DRANK WHILE I WAS IN HER WOMB". That was a direct quote people. Yes, my mother had fatty liver disease while pregnant and after birth, but it is not always from alcohol. Make your own decisions or see for yourself but I do not believe this doctor should see anyone.

I would never recommend Dr. Barbara Morgan to a friend. To begin with she sometimes makes you wait to hours in the waiting room as if she does not care for you at all. Then she has a terrible bedside manner and barely listens to you at all, but blabs on about herself. She also over prescribes medications and does not even examine any other treatments. She tells you all about her personal life, much more then any patient ever wants to know and she acts very flippant, like her degree gives her the right to be arrogant and treat you poorly. To top it off she does not seem to know what she is talking about and does not have a holistic approach. Do yourself a favor and avoid her you will feel much better for it if you find another neurologist.

Dr. Barbara Morgan has a terrible beside manner she take forever to see you as if she does not care and is terribly rude. Her bedside manner is so bad that she is not worth going to see her at all, because the stress of going to see her. All in all she is a terrible Doctor with some knowledge of treatments but I left without a good treatment.

I hate to perpetuate anything negative about any medical professional; the world is a better place on account of all the good Drs and nurses out there. However, the world needs to be warned about Dr. Morgan. This lady is dangerous. I wouldn't bring my dog to her. Somehow her office staff is lovely though, but no amt of lovely can make up for the doc being such a quack.

I went to see Dr. Morgan for a problem with extreme sleepiness and concentration problems. I often came close to falling asleep while driving and was unable to be productive at work. Dr. Morgan diagnosed my condition successfully and treated with medication that has worked perfectly. She also diagnosed migraine, which I was unaware of--not the condition but that it was related to migraine, which I thought was only monster headaches. She helped me to treat this condition successfully without medication. I am very grateful and impressed with Dr. Morgan's insight. I feel fortunate to have someone of her caliber in this small community where much of the health care is what I would call "corporate" medicine. Most doctors want you in and out with prescription in hand and do not want to take time to hear your health history get beyond the superficial in diagnostics.

Where to start...4 appointments each over 4 hours, that's over 20 hours of my life wasted. She literally yells at her patients - this is not good care. Misdiagnosed (not only that, there is no such thing as what she said was wrong with me - shame on her!!!), improper follow up, medications not prescribed accurately or needed. Patient info in chart not only wrong, but she argued with me about it (go figure, I know who my "primary provider" is!). The woman is an idiot, and so was I to see her. I was advised against it by many in the medical field in this area - that should tell you lots. To the person whose "life she saved" it was your lucky day - you should have bought lottery tickets. I would give her lower ratings if they were available.

Dr. Morgan is dangerous. I would highly recommend making the trip to Lewiston or Spokane if you are in need of a neurologist. I've seen a handful of doctors in my day and this one takes the cake. Bar-none the worst patient experience I've had in my life. Dr. Morgan needs a serious psychological evaluation. After seeing her, I may need therapy too.

I felt the need to remind you that I did say that my husband saw Dr Morgan SEVERAL times. This was after a serious accident where he was crushed under a one ton tree for 90 minutes and a week later woke up with palsy on his left side of his face for about 5 hours. Dr Morgan assured us that she wouldn't rest until she found out what had caused this. She asked my husband to list his other aches, pains, ailments and medical problems. My husband explained to her that even though he is only 41 yrs old he has severe osteoarthritis in his feet and the bones are fusing together and forming nodules and that his feet are very painful to walk on or even to touch them. Two minutes later she grab right on to one of his feet (the worst one at that) and gave it a rough attempt to flex it. No warning. No recollection of my husband telling her how bad his feet hurt. He jumped and groaned in pain. Dr Morgan acted surprised and asked what was wrong. He told her through gritted teeth. Her response - this… heartless woman giggled like a school girl. She found amusement in my husband's discomfort. I should mention that when she asked my husband about the tree accident and to explain what happened, she laughed at his description of the event as well. Moving on... She did ONE test. ONE! To try to find the cause of my husband's palsy. She saw nothing abnormal on it and so shrugged her shoulders, said "Hmph. I don't know then. Oh well" and moved on to talking about his fatigue and headaches. So much for not resting without an answer to the problem we went to her about. We moved on with her in hopes that my husband would find some relief at last from his migraines and constant fatigue. According to Dr Morgan the cause of those problems are the facts that my husband drinks coffee and works a blue collar job. Nice! After seeing her a few more times and being told the same thing (yet she kept rescheduling him at the tune of $350 a visit) we decided to find another doctor. That was the best thing we ever did. It turned out that my husband had kidney cancer. A form that surgery ids the only option and he needed it right away. He has since had the kidney removed. He has also been diagnosed with both obstructive and central sleep apnea. Central as in the central nervous system (involving the brain) not getting messages to the respiratory system to tell it to breath while he sleeps. So the reason my husband was having headaches and was exhausted is because his oxygen levels and heart rate were dropping dangerously low when he slept. This leaves you exhausted and leads to MANY other SERIOUS health problems. So... while this other person may say that Dr Morgan is a "life saving doctor"... he lack of compassion and interest as well as her judgmental nature and pompous attitude caused my husband nearly a year of bad health that could have been avoided had she bothered to delve a bit further into the medical side of her job instead of trying to be a psychiatrist instead. I'm sorry that this other person who wrote this glorious review of Dr Morgan thinks that she is the ONLY "really Sick" patient Dr Morgan has. My husband was really sick too. He waited patiently each time he saw that doctor and NEVER did she even ONCE act like his health mattered. So NO - he would NOT have gotten any competent care from her. She had plenty of chances to do ANYTHING beyond that initial test. She chose to judge him and think his troubles were not of a medical nature. I have a right to give my opinion on this matter and a responsibility to warn people of Dr Morgan's nature. And if you look up the term "Slander" you will find that it refers to saying things that are NOT true. What I've stated here are the FACTS of our experience with her and I have EVERY RIGHT to give my story. So to the person who said I shouldn't have given a negative review reflecting my true opinion of this doctor - SHAME ON YOU!!!
