Dr. Barbara Mackey Seagle

At all costs do not trust this Doctor. Her bravado is take charge which gives parents a false sense of comfort. The reality is this doctor could careless about about really getting to know your child and being in position to properly diagnose life threatening conditions. This doctor is simply not attentive taking the to understand what truly ailing your child and is more focused on churning patient visits.

I liked Dr. Seagle initially. She took care of my two daughters. However I realized she "forgot" to give my youngest daughter her MMR. She is now almost 2 and I was the one who found this mistake while reviewing her chart while applying for a daycare. She should have had the MMR a year ago. Front desk staff is very rude and unhelpful. Her partner, Dr. Mandell, is just as unfriendly. But bottom line, is that failing to vaccinate my daughter is negligent, dangerous and unforgivable. Especially when there is a measles outbreak in the US.

We switched to Dr. Seagle/Mandel practice because she was so much calmer with both me and my daughter. We had very few illnesses early on but since teen years, Dr. Seagle has been a godsend. My daughter feels very understood there and not judged. Now that she is 19 and through the hard years, she still sees Dr. Seagle when home from college. Dr. Seagle has been excellent dealing with anxious teen.

She is a very caring doctor and was very nice to us, but she committed an error with our baby's prescription. This could have had serious consequences. The medicine she prescript for our baby's mouth was not suppose to be taken orally, thanked God I called the pharmacy and they confirmed.

Dr. Seagal is not our primary doctor, but she had weekend hours for the practise we take our child to.We were very shocked at her behavior. She was nice to our child, but extremely rude to us, and impatient. She asked us about our child's history and within 2 seconds she said "we don't have time to go through everything". When asked about the signs we should look out for, her comment "I am not going to debate with you. I have seen hundreds and thousands of kids in my experience and my diagnosis is accurate".. my question - if you have seen so many kids then I am sure we are not the first concerned parents she has met..Instead of asking if we had any other questions she just opened the door, motioning us to leave.I guess time is $$..Her staff was not friendly either..

We met Dr. Seagle the day my first son was born. The pediatrician we planned to use wasn't accepting patients. His loss was our gain. She's been great with both my boys and with us nervous parents as well.
