Dr. Barnwell Rhett Myers, MD

Dr Meyers was the best psychiatrist I ever had! Spartanburg needs him to run their psychiatric department. Not a good psychiatrist in this town you might find a decent nurse practitioner! Lol

i have gone to dr myers for 22 years, and frankly he has spoiled me. he intrinsically understands pharmacology i find him to be friendly and intelligent and just an all round good doctor. i would not find a better doctor if i tried as a devout christian i consider him a gift from god to me. i have seen a lot of so-so doctors throughout my life. he certainly is not one of them.

AFTER A PARALYZING STROKE IN 2005, DR. MYERS LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE. I ATTEMPTED SUICIDE IN 2009. I'D LOST MY CAREER, I COULD NOT WALK, OR DRIVE. I'D ALMOST FINISHED MY DOCTORAL CLASSES. OUR INCOME DROPPED TO HALF OF WHAT IT HAD BEEN IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. I WAS A BURDEN TO MY FAMILY. THEN I WAS REFERRED TO DR. MYERS. HIS NO-NONSENSE APPROACH TO MY SELF PITY WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED. HE'S BEEN MY DOCTOR FOR MANY YEARS. I CAN ASK HIM ABOUT ANY STRUGGLE WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS WHO TREAT ME AS IF I'D HAD A LOBOTOMY. I RESPECT THE CONFIDENCE THAT I WAS GOING TO WALK AGAIN. AFTER 15 YEARS OF PHYSICAL THERAPY, I CAN WALK (SLOWLY), DRIVE (THE SPEED LIMIT) AND LIVE AGAIN INDEPENDENTLY. MY HUSBAND AND I LIVE A GRATEFUL LIFE, WE THANK GOD FOR THE BROKEN ROAD. THANK YOU KINDLY FOR READING THIS REVIEW.

Dr. Myers will take his time, listening, going over ALL of your medication. He always makes me feel like he has all the time, for each and everyone of my appointments. Never rushed and he’s such a gentleman, while being honest and open. I was nervous when my old doctor left, but I’m grateful for Dr. Rhett Myers!

Dry as a piece of toast. Does not listen to patients. Even when I kept a list of meds my husband had tried, he either didn't read his notes or didn't keep a list, because he started to prescribe a couple of things a 2nd time after they didn't work before!
