In 50 years I've never been so impressed by a psychiatrist! Dr Gershney uses genetic testing vs. guessing! Dr. Gershuny literally saved my life. After going to countless psychiatrists who "threw meds in me," Dr. Gershuny slow down and tested my DNA via saliva and the genetic testing used science to determine the right medicine for my needs. It made all the difference!

Completely lacks compassion. Will not get back to you and will let you go without a prescription even if you follow his rules about calling ahead of time. Dr. Gershuny takes no responsibility for the amount of patient time he wastes by not getting back to anyone about prescriptions. He has a draconian policy for missed appointments but a double standard as far as responsibility is concerned on his end. Appalled and disgusted.

I have worked with Dr. Gershuny for over a year now, and he has been amazing. I am a little confused with the reviews, as he has been accessible for me every time I have reached out. Also, when there was another medical issue, he was unbelievably quick to respond. Dr. Gershuny cares for his patients, and builds a great relationship where I feel completely trusting. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new doctor.

Unresponsive to phone calls even in an emergency. His office assistant fields all calls. Good Luck getting a timely response.

Dr. Gershuny is intuitive, empathetic, and remarkably intelligent. He's not a "pharmacist" like some psychiatrists I've been to over the years. He is conservative with prescribing meds, yet recognizes their place in treating his patients and ultimately improving the quality of their lives. Even during my 20-minute "check-in" appointments, I feel like his focus is 100% on me and what I'm saying. Plus, he always has something new and insightful to share because he stays current with all the latest treatment methods. I am SO grateful I was referred to him!

You can see that these reviews are either very positive or very negative, which reflects the fact that Dr. Gershuny is at the point in his career where I think he doesn't really want to deal with very needy and clingy people. I'm sure there are good psychiatrists available for patients of this type, but Dr. Gershuny is not one of them. He has helped me for a number of years now, and I can only second all the positive things that have been said in other reviews. He is a truly wonderful therapist.

This guy is completely unprofessional. He is very disorganized and wants you to do everything via e-mail, however he does not check his e-mail. He does not return phone calls and does not/will not give you a copy of your records. Which, by the way one is legally allowed to obtain under HIPPA. My guess is that he does not keep any records?

Dr. Gershuny is a very intelligent man. A lot of people he has to deal with every day have intellectual deficits (I have seen them in the waiting room). This is not their fault. He treated me for pain and misery that I could not stand anymore and made a plan for suicide. He never talked me out of it or even really resonded to it. This was the answer. His response shook me out of it; and, I understood that there was a high probability of most people feeling this way at some time in life. Through his response I could easily conclude that living for the next day to see "what would happen next" in the world made me want to live and be curious to learn again, for every day is an interesting adventure. I also learned that the sociopaths that had been harming me could not be helped and I have now limited my contact with them all. I never would have understood any of this without Dr. Gershuny. Also, patients need to take responsibility too! He deserves respect and patiens and… families to learn about the value of his time. It has always been easy for me to make arrangements for him to help. You can too; if you are responsible, and not a jerk.
