Dr. Barry Lynn Irons, MD

Dr Irons is my son's psychologist. He's everything a patient would want in a child psychologist. He's a good listener, caring, and attentive. He knows his stuff too.

He cut me off when I asked about his professional training and background. The appointment consisted of him reading questions off a sheet of paper and marking down answers, sort of like a checklist. No conversation at all except to tell me I am too fat and need regular pap smears. ( I had just lost 20 lbs. and weighed only 130 lbs.) Don't go to him. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I was in the treatment foster care system at Families and Youth Inc. Don't make me go further into it, but my foster parents saw my clothes were too damp and made up a lie to him that I showered with my clothes on. He thought that because my parents are Iranian, we haven't figured out how to take showers. He laughed at me and my dad while making bad comments, interrupting us, and giving the "talk to the hand" gesture. How old am I being bullied by a Psychiatrist? 14 years old

I have seen other doctors but other mental health doctors do not have a true understanding of the individual inner mind.
