Dr. Barry Slotky, MD

I was a patient for 21 years. I didn't pick him, but was assigned to him. He was so informative. He always took the time to make sure I understood my body so that I could make good decisions about my care. I had three babies under his watch. My pregnancies we flawless.

I was assigned Slotky through the Health department because I was on a medical card.I noticed at the beginning him making some somewhat rude comments about my weight but wrote it off on his age and it's his job to help me be as healthy as possible. But then there was the last visit I had with him that sent me out of the office in tears and was devestated the rest of the day. While commenting on my weight gain he started describing a notebook to me, what it looked like and where to buy it. I thought he was goign to tell me to document my eating habits but then he told me"you might as well start writing your daughter an apology letter for all the health problems you are going to cause her later in life". I wasnt sure if I was being oversensitive so I never complianed but then learned later that he has had several problems with his attitude 2 clients especially if they are even the slightest over weight.I ended up getting an apology from his office and was reassigned drs. DO NOT GO TO HIM

I have gone to Barry Slotky for 38 years and consider him to be a friend as well as my doctor. I look forward to my visits because I enjoy seeing him! I couldn't have asked for better care over the years.

He will make you feel uncomfortable, stupid, and evil. He does not give you any information any of your issues. He is of no assistance. He is cruel. You are better off researching on your own and caring for yourself.

If you are overweight, find another Dr. and FAST. He is very unprofessional and rude and will make suprisingly crude comments on your size right to your face.
