Dr. Beatriz Eugenia Garcia Cardona, MD

Saw Dr. Garcia for bunion and foot arthritis. She put obesity as the first diagnosis which resulted in orthotics not being covered costing $430 out of pocket. I found this out by accident because no one told me. I inquired with billing and mentioned to her and was told they don’t want to pay for those. I only found out because another doctor at Sports Med did this but BCBS told me. I may be obese, but not the reason for the visit. It’s judgmental and shaming. I have seen her for 10 years and they don’t weigh me or even know my BMI. Totally unacceptable and will find o other doctor.

What a WONDERFUL Person and a GREAT Doctor!! I am a month post- op and I have been to see her twice already! She is very caring and very patient. I had problems with my Achilles Tendon and it was worse than we anticipated. But Dr. Garcia assured me I will feel good as new once I complete physical therapy and follow her orders. I am confident in her report. Her staff are amazing also. Her P.A. Melissa is a sweetheart. She has great bedside manners also. Jeffrey in casting.....well, what a DELIGHT he is!!! He will keep you laughing the entire time! Laughter is like a merry medicine! I would recommend this group to anyone!!!!!

Dr Garcia and staff have been a true pleasure to work with thus far. After months of seeing my general doctor for foot pain with no luck for relief, I was referred to Dr. Garcia at Sportsmed. It was a blessing! After an MRI, she determined that my peroneal tendon was torn in many places and needed surgery. She was very thorough in the explanation of procedure needed and I left the office feeling confident that she was the best person for the job. On surgery day, she met me prior to the procedure and made me feel comfortable and ready. All questions were answered. The procedure went according to plan and I am now (4) weeks into the healing process. Several occasions I've had questions during my healing and her nurses have been great to return my calls in a timely fashion. BRANDY has been pleasant and thorough and SCOTT does an amazing job at cast removal and recasting. Both are personable and helpful! It's never fun to know that one needs surgery but I can recommend Dr Garcia and… staff highly. Good luck healing if you are reading this and need a surgical procedure soon.

I couldn't be more pleased. I would recommend her to anyone. Even though she's busy, you are never made to feel like a number. She is genuinely interested in you and your issue. Dr Garcia also performed arthroscopic surgery on my right ankle. Couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

I am very Thankful that I have came in contact with this precious doctor!! She has went above and beyond taking care of me and my surgery and is very concerned for me and my recovery! I can’t say enough good things about her and her staff as well along with Sportsmed! Great experience and they are taking great care of me! Scott in the cast department has been awesome as well and has helped me get through the cast issues because I am very claustrophobic!! Thank you to you all for being an awesome team at Sportsmed!! Recent foot surgery to alleviate almost six years of issues after fracturing my ankle and foot in 2012. Dr Garcia and her staff were amazing! Identified the issues and discussed a plan to enhance repair and recovery of the multiple issues caused by years of neglect of problems created and not identified by previous doctors. The surgery was flawless and the follow up care provided exceptional. Especially notable was the care provided by Jeffery Summerhill in putting on multiple casts and ensuring the foot and leg were cleaned properly, moisturized, and well protected. I credit this care with speedy recovery and pain free day-to-day activities. I would highly recommend this team if you need any type of foot surgery.

Dr. Garcia was highly recommended by both an ER physician and my primary care doctor. I can honestly say that I am shocked at the treatment I received during my appointment. I saw her for about two minutes and she was extremely curt and seemed bothered when I asked questions about my injury. She said that the ER doctor/radiologist at Crestwood were incompetent and misdiagnosed me because they didn’t know how to read the x-rays. Going to see her was a complete waste of time.

I have seen Dr Garcia several times over the years and have found her and her staff (Brandy, Tab, and Linda) to be extremely knowledgeable and responsive.

Had this problem for five years. She fixed it. Highly recommend
