Dr. Beena Mary Johnson, MD

The office staff is terrible. The phone rings and rings with no answer. Once I spent the whole day calling just to make an appointment. Also, every time I've gone I have waited over an hour and half just to get my vitals taken then another 30-45 minutes in the room waiting for the doctor. The staff dropped me as a patient because I wanted to see my primary care physician before I made a biopsy decision. When I called back to schedule I was informed my chart was closed. It is absolutely unethical to do this to a patient who is in pain. Just beware how terrible this office truly is.

Dr. Johnson treated me through 2 difficult pregnancies and was absolutely fantastic during both. She had been my OBGYN for almost 10 years and I wouldn’t consider seeing anyone else! The nurses and other staff are fabulous. She may be a busy doctor and there have been times I’ve waited a bit during appointments, but that is only because she is the best at what she does!

Nurses were AWESOME, but the front staff was rude. I asked to speek to manager about it to complain where they went on to tell me they didn't have one but would talk to the Dr about it for me. I called back because I never got a call back and then was told by the rude staff that the dr felt I needed to go else where. Now I'm not sure if the Dr really said that because she never called back to speak with me, and I'm sure she got told who knows what. If she did however more reason not to go there, if she didn't you will have trouble ever doing anything about your complaints.

Loved Dr Johnson! I went in for my first visit scared to death. She calmed me and was so nice. Each visit she sat and answered all my questions and she was wonderful through out my labor and delivery.

HORRIBLE! I caused NO TROUBLE, MISSED NO APPTS, HAD INSURANCE, DID NOT HAVE COMPLICATIONS delivering and she just sent me a letter firing me as a patient! Don't get connected with her...she may just let you go for no reason! Then when I called her office the staff said they couldn't tell me why and would not let me speak to her or a nurse about it! I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER GO HERE!!!!

I had just given birth to my 1st child 6 days before, when I realized I had developed a UTI. Dr. Johnson prescribed Nitrofur Macr. However, after taking the drug for two days, I discovered that Nirtrofur is not recommended for mothers breastfeeding an infant under one month of age. In fact, the paperwork that came with the prescription states, "THIS MEDICINE IS FOUND in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED infants younger than 1 month old while you are taking this medicine." My daughter was only one week old, so naturally, I was very concerned.When I called Dr. Johnson she answered the phone in an irritated tone saying, "What is it now?" I was very respectful, and said I was uncomfortable taking Nitrofur while breastfeeding, and asked if she'd mind prescribing me something else. At this, Dr. Johnson became defensive. She told me she would never prescribe me something that wasn't safe, that Nitrofur was the mildest antibiotic available, and that she always prescribed it to her patients. She… also said, "You can stop taking it. That's your choice. Your UTI will come back, but I'm not prescribing you anything else."To me, this response came off as rude and condescending. I was in agony with a UTI and all the aftereffects of vaginal delivery, yet she refused to work with me to find an antibiotic I felt safe taking.

Dr. Johnson cared for me during both of my pregnancies. She takes her time, listens to your concerns and is just an incredibly thorough practitioner. I had premature labor with both of my children and she was outstanding in helping me manage make it to full term in both instances! I rely on her still for excellent well-woman care and for any ob/gyn issues that come up between annual visits. Her nurses and staff are professional and friendly. I highly recommend her.

She provided excellent care and treatment while I was pregnant. She immediately saw that I was having health problems and instead of ignoring it she found out what was going on. She explains everything, never rushes you and instills complete confidence. She recently delivered my son thru an emergency c-section. She is the best ever!
