Dr. Behnaz Haghighi Motlagh, MD

I see some negative reviews on this site and am shocked. My wife and I have been going to see Dr. Motlagh for several years, and she and her helpful staff have changed our lives for the better. She is intensely interested in our health, is always available to help us or talk to us, and always takes time to be with us when needed. I have never had a better experience in dealing with the medical community than that with Dr. Motlagh. I would give her 10 stars is it was available.

I went to Dr Motlagh in 2015 by default when the fantastic Dr across the hall had to shut down her practice unexpectedly (to take care of an ill family member) & everyone was ported over to her. So, I went to Dr Motlagh through 2019. In that time, I never knew whether I would meet with her or a PA, but NO PA (or most office staff, for that matter) ever stayed in her office more than 3 visits, which makes me suspicious about their happiness there (and since I went 4x/year plus for blood draws a week prior to each visit, I was there a lot). They want you to come in for tests CONSTANTLY that other dr's will prescribe for a year at a go. I assume it's to rake in extra $ from the insurance companies for each visit. I mentioned that there was a PA I'd seen there 2x and she was one of the few that REALLY made a difference and tried to make changes and listened to my issues—when I mentioned this to Dr Motlagh, she pulled a face, and I asked "Oh, you didn't like her?" And she shook her head; I… thought it was incredibly unprofessional to smack talk another professional, especially after I'd just praised how wonderful she'd been for me and made a REAL difference in the issues I had. A lot of the staff that I loved that had come to Dr Motlagh's office from the previous Dr we'd all gone to across the hall also progressively disappeared over the next year or so. But, my very last straw was when I had repeated complaint that I just don't think she gave a %&^$ about, every time I followed up at multiple appointments, asking if she'd researched what she'd promised to and let me know, she off-handedly said, "oh, I forgot" (AGAIN) and just laughed. Promised to get back to me (AGAIN), but never did. I sometimes feels she's more concerned with her looks and the looks of those in her office (always professional, but a bit over the top for a doctor's office, if that makes sense?). I see a lot of promos for her own line of supplements as well as cosmetic procedures they offer, which makes me think where their true passion lie. I will say there were times she listened/helped better than others, but I don't want a doctor that is hit or miss, not to mention you have zero idea who you're going to get when you go there for an appointment, and lack of continuous consistency in a Dr's office is eventually a red flag to me. All of this said, Faye at the front desk is the SWEETEST!! Always accommodating and a ray of sunshine... best part of the whole visit! :) (she also disappeared from staff for a while but eventually came back). I've moved onto a new, closer doctor who personally calls with follow-ups and I only see her in the office.

Horrible doctor... arrogant, dismissive, rude, uncaring. Aside from these traits, she always tries to upsell different supplements and other services, like laser hair removal. Prescribed tea to my husband for swollen glands. He saw an ENT afterward, who prescribed antibiotics, more water and less caffeine. Glands went down and all is good now. She inserted hormone pellets for me and I got a massive infection at the incision site. She was dismissive and unconcerned... and over a year later, I have scar and still have discoloring of the skin surrounding the area. I changed doctors for both my husband and myself. What I went through, with the incision site infection and waiting for the hormones she implanted to wear off, was the worst experience I've ever had, medically. I would not recommend this awful doctor to anyone. I have filed a grievance against Dr. Behnaz Haghighi Motlagh with my insurance company. From what I've read online, people are beginning to realize what kind of… doctor/person she really is and that makes me feel better, though I cannot get back the 5 months of pain I endured in her care, following pellet insertion. I cannot express strongly enough my warning to others, find another doctor!

I've seen Dr. Motlagh for approximately 2 years. I've found both the doctor and her staff to be personable, warm and caring. I'm seen within 5-10 minutes of arrival; patient care and bedside manner are impeccable. Not a fan of the "up sale" of Botox nor so called beauty enhancing treatments. Disgusted with the billion dollar beauty business.

First off, 5 stars for having smokin hot staff members and PA. I pay $125 every month I drive from the 90631 to get my refills and blood pressure. Everyone there including the Dr are super nice. Haven’t felt this good in years ! I don’t know what these other people are talking about...doesn’t sound like the same Dr. Behnaz.

Terrible bedside manner, spends almost no time with you, has no interest in answering questions, has a tendency to "talk over" you when you try to ask a question, no warmth, mainly tries to sell you hormone pellets or other things that cost you out-of-pocket $. Made errors interpreting my lab values, I later verified. Her PA is even worse, including errors in pronouncing medical terms. I do not recommend her to anyone.

This seemingly unstable individual causes more harm than good. She is proud to be loud, rude and uncaring. Clearly money is her ONLY priority.
