Dr. Behzad Burt Rahavi, MD

I've been his patient since 2005. He listens to what I say, explains things, and treats me, not just my pain. Sometimes I need to wait, but it's because he treats each patient like they are his only patient. I recently moved out of state and after bad experiences with the doctors there, I now return to California because he's the best!

I am so pleased to have the opportunity to provide a review of my experience with Dr. Rahavi. He is the very personification of a Doctor who embraces the concept of prioritizing the needs of his patients. My initial experience with Dr. Rahavi was when he treated my Mother. The compassion, kindness and professionalism that he displayed toward my Mother is exemplified by the fact that on our first visit, he opened his office on a day that he was scheduled not to be there. His decision to open the office on this day to accommodate my Mother was made in response to my call in which I communicated how much pain my Mother was in. While most Doctors would have simply made an appointment for her on a convenient day, Dr. Rahavi was unable and unwilling to defer a visit with a patient whom he knew to be in pain and in need of his help and guidance. Dr. Rahaviâ??s dedication to my Mother has been transferred to me now that I have the need for a Rheumatologist. I was welcomed as a patient and I… have been treated with nothing less than ultimate compassion, concern and generosity. On my visits to the Doctor, I am consistently treated as though I am the only patient in the world and I have his undivided attention and focus. He is incredibly responsive to my medical issues. Dr. Rahaviâ??s dedication is best exemplified by the fact that even when I contact him telephonically during non-traditional office hours, he responds to me in a timely and receptive manner addressing all of my concerns. I never feel rushed at my appointments and I feel genuinely cared for as a patient. I recommended Dr. Rahavi to a very close friend who has been equally impressed with his knowledge, patience and kindness. Dr. Rahaviâ??s staff is equally thoughtful and kind. I always leave the office in a positive mood, feeling inspired and with a renewed sense of confidence. I would highly recommend Dr. Rahavi to anyone who is seeking the services of a Doctor who will be committed to insuring that your health and well being are his number one priority.

Dr Rahavi, and i use the term doctor loosely, did not treat my gout with anything but some prescriptions and a pay your deductible attitude. If you plan on taking time off for work for anything you are seeing him for, he won't fill out any medical provider forms and i quote, "I'm a physician, I treat patients not fill out paperwork!!!" Dr Rahavi is not just a poor doctor he is a poor human being.

Very compatinate, caring, and knowledgable

Dr. Rahavi is one of the most caring and competent physicians I have ever placed my health care with. Dr. Rahavi sincerely cares about his patientâ??s health as evidenced by his bedside manner and the time he takes with each individual getting to know them and their health concerns. His staff is warm and quick to make you feel at home. It is not only refreshing but comforting to know I have a doctor that does not rush me through a â??mechanized assembly lineâ?? for treatment. Dr. Rahaviâ??s patients are like his family. He has the old school approach to health care. I see Dr. Rahavi as the modern house call doctor. The world needs more Dr. Rahaviâ??s. I canâ??t recommend Dr. Rahavi highly enough. He really is the creme de la creme.

On my first visit he spent at least 45 minutes with me asking many questions and listening. I felt that he was thorough in his exam and diagnosis. He is "old school" in that appointments are still hand written and he has a small office staff. Often times he calls to confirm appointments. Not a deal breaker for me as long as I'm getting the right diagnosis and follow-up care I need. He is very soft spoken and sometimes a little hard to understand but again, not a deal breaker because of his vast knowledge and thinking "outside the box" mentality which adds to his patient care and recommendations. My experience with Dr. Rahavi and his office staff has been professional and caring.

He charged me $50 for every single visit. $50 to see him initially, which is perfectly normal. Told me to get bloodwork and come back. $50! to have him read me my results. He then sent me for X Rays. another $50 for him to read the results. I would NOT go back to this guy EVER. I have gone to numerous specialists in the past 3 years. Most recently in the past 3 months, and I've only been charged for my initial visit NOT follow up visits.

He assured me I didn't have any problems and told me my symptoms were mental, but ordered more bloodwork. This resulted in another visit, costing me time and money. This office does NOT accept credit cards. It seems like another way of getting more money by not having to pay for fees.
