Dr. Benedict S Maniscalco, MD

The bad reviews are true. His nurse Sandra is the most incompetent person, and the rest of the staff follows suit. She made out a lab script I can't even use. It includes 10 diagnostic codes per test. It doesnt however include my reason for the test or my insurance information. The staff is currently useless, not making calls or speaking to you. The doctor is useless due to the incompetent staff. I had one of these women yelling and arguing with me just for cancelling. But you are forced to cancel due to their incompetence. Someone seriously needs to look into this office and how it is run. When they demand you do a test but make one you can't use, something is very, very wrong. If the doctor worked somewhere else that would really change things.

I waited over a week to just get an appointment when I was promised a call back the same day the office staff is incompetent I was two minutes late out of the window time to be late and the provider refused to see me this office staff don’t have their stuff together and obviously a pregnant patient with low blood pressure is not worth the doctors 2 min of time it’s clear that I was just another number I will never come here nor will I recommend any patient to come here

I unfortunately was not able to see Dr. Maniscalco. I met with his ARNP who was rude, condescending, and didn't take any of my concerns seriously, despite the fact that I have a family history of heart disease, I have high blood pressure, & other risk factors. She insisted that I must be depressed & told my pcp that she was running tests just to appease me. She spoke to me using slang and would talk down to me as if I were a child, which was derogatory & disrespectful. It was obvious that she felt uncomfortable dealing with people with different ethnic backgrounds than her own. I was referred to this office because I was presenting with chest pain & fluid retention. However, on my first visit, she wanted to discuss my sexuality and my political beliefs. I was caught off guard by her unusual questions, but I was desperate for help which is why I returned for another disappointing visit , but I won't make that mistake again.

If it were not for Dr. Maniscalco, I wouldn't be alive today.

I left a wonderful team of doctors behind when I left the city I had lived in most of my adult life. In need of a cardiologist after moving to Florida and having been so disappointed (and many times horrified) by the lack of diagnostic abilities of the physicians I had seen up to the point of needing to see a cardiologist...I did my research and was so impressed with Dr. Maniscalco's credentials that I went ahead and made an appointment. I was pleased, and even more impressed when I met him. He was incredibly thorough, obviously intelligent, read through all the information taken about me, read over my previous reports and strung all the pieces together and suggested a test that would allow us to come to the conclusions that were necessary to figure out what might be going on. Everything worked out wonderful, and he gave me the confidence and peace of mind I needed to go about my daily life. It is so reassuring, and healing, to know you are in the hands of an absolute experienced,… intelligent expert in their medical field. I am so happy I found this doctor and highly recommend him. Even told family and friends, from out of state about him, and that he would be worth flying here to have an office visit with if they felt they needed a valuable opinion and direction.
