Dr. Benjamin Abbadessa, MD

Dr. Abbadessa failed to follow-up post-surgery for TEN DAYS regarding a biopsy, knowing I have a history of cancer. I had to call and harass to obtain results. He was on his way out, moving to San Diego for his wife's new job, and never bothered to call or help coordinate finding a new doctor to handle follow-up. I had to navigate the Mt. Sinai health system all by myself and now that I've found a new surgeon within the system, I've learned there was an ointment I could have used to prevent a recurrence of my condition, something he never bothered to mention. Truly put his own life/move/practice close-out before the well-being of his patent, which is scary and unacceptable.

Dr Abbadessa is an excellent amazing surgeon with care , compensation, consideration and respect. He also take the time to inform you with details your case and explain all options. Very rare for a surgeon!

The staff was very pleasant and professional. There was about a 30min wait before the Doctor came in but to me this was a sign of him taking time with his patients and not rushing.

Our son was under care at the Cleveland Clinic Weston, Fl. During his time Dr. Abbadessa was one of the doctors caring for him and assisted in saving his life. The care, concern and knowledge he displayed put our family at ease. We are forever grateful for his service on our sons medical team. If you are evaluating whether to be a patient of his, we would tell you he is a great doctor!
