Dr. Benjamin James Bixenmann, MD

Had a cervical disc replacement. Nerve pain was so bad before I couldn’t stand it. As soon as I woke up the pain was gone! It’s now 6 months after surgery and my neck is perfect! I would highly recommend Dr Bixenmann!!

Terrible experience. Nurse (Tina) was rude and uncaring. Cut me off when trying to ask questions. No one would look at any of the tests or documentation that I had with me. The Dr. said he couldn’t help me with my major back issues and had no recommendations for what may help. Left office in tears.

If I could leave a 100 one stars I would…Dr.. Bixenmann does not listen at all! my scans show wrongly healed broken T1 and I left his office with complete disregard to 6 mos of issues. So his own reviews of “compassion” and “getting to the root cause is not accurate. A wonderful doctor at UNMC will be taking over my care.

Loved the knowledge Dr has and how he explains everything to you. Would highly recommend him!

Great Office staff. Surgery went well with Dr Bixenman, but he kept lying after surgery, telling me that my neck was fusing fine. The Radiology reports clearly stated it was NOT fusing. I kept letting him tell me otherwise, until my last appointment with him and did question him why I was still having pain. He said he didn't know since I was fusing...that's when I asked him why the radiology reports showed I wasn't. He didn't have an answer to that. I went to another doctor who did further testing to show I wasn't fusing! Do not trust this doctor.

Gives my phone number out to people he doesn't want calling him back. He's been doing it for almost 4 years now despite numerous attempts to have him stop. I'm considering legal action if any is available.

This is one of those doctors you have to stand in front of the door to get him to stay in the room long enough to answer your questions. He doesn’t smile or attempt friendliness at all. I had a medical issue(unrelated) that required surgery after my dealings with Dr. Bixenman and they sent me to collections over a very small amount of money. I tried to explain that I’d be through recovery and back to work soon...they didn’t care. This entire establishment seems like compassionless jerks. Just find a different doctor! Not worth dealing with this emotionless robot!

I really don't understand the bad reviews on here. I had a wonderful experience. The girls up front were friendly, the nurse was nice, and Dr Bixenman listened to me. He laid out the treatment options, told me to think about them, and then call to schedule. I didn't feel pressured into doing anything. And after the surgery I feel great! Would recommend him to everyone!

Dr. Bixenmann is a very compassionate and caring doctor. He repaired a herniated disc in my neck and I had immediate relief of pain. I was able to go back to work in 2 weeks. His staff is very courteous and caring. I would recommend him to anyone. I hope I never have another problem to see him for but if I do I know exactly where I'm going first!
