Dr. Benjamin Ching Chu, MD

I’m not going to lie, I was rescheduled 4 times for my consultation. But with a pandemic at bay, Oahu opening up and shutting down, this is to be expected. I saw more than one surgeon for consultation but ultimately choose Dr. Benjamin Chu because I felt comfortable with him. He also came highly recommended by many of my peers. Both me and my bestie got our BA done together on the same day. He took his time with us to explain everything before the procedure and even called that evening after surgery to check in on us. I will be recommending his services to all my friends. Mahalo Dr. Chu!

i was referred here from my co worker who had just gotten her breasts done. She had an amazing experience here and my mom needed to redo her implants because one of them had popped. From the start they were very helpful and nice. The front desk girls are sweet, super pretty and never rude, customer service is big to me and my mom so that was already a plus. We got to see Dr. Chu and hes very friendly and informative, my mom loved how he was straight up. During the consultation he really took his time to show my mom the different types of products they had and answered all of her questions. She really appreciated that! FAST FORWARD TO SURGERY.. before she had gone into surgery they went over everything again and reassured her (she was kind of nervous). The surgery went great and better than we both expected. Shes still in the healing process of it all but her breasts look way better than they did before, very natural, great shape and good size. THANK YOU DR. CHU!!!!

Dr Chu is very knowledgable and took his time to educate me and give me my options and his recommendation to correct a botched year old surgery I had by Dr Shim Ching! He is very pleasant and made me feel I was in good hands as I was afraid after having such bad results by a surgeon who offered to give me a breast lift for $13,500.00 when I already paid over 19K which included some kind of mesh to prevent my breast from dropping. I was referred to Dr Chu by 2 nurses that I know and a Doctor. Thank you Dr Chu taking yor time spending 7 HOURS in surgery to correct all the problems caused by my previous surgery in 2017 by Dr Shim Ching. Never charged more and just wanted to do the job right!! I am so happy with the results and can really tell he cares about each individual and unlike Dr Ching whom saw me very few times for follow up after surgery. Most of my appointments were to see a female aide who only took pictures to monitor how the procedure done looked. Dr Chu believes in… checking his patients himself which is the way it should be since he is the Doctor. I would recommend Dr Chu to anyone looking for a good Plastic Surgeon.

I had a ruptured saline implant and went to Dr. Chu for breast augmentation revision. He spent a lot of time during the consultation to really understand what I wanted and what would look best on my frame. We decided that Allergan smooth silicone 310cc's would provide ample cleavage without looking too fake. Two months later, the results are fantastic. I couldn't be more happy with the size and how they enhance my curves. Dr. Chu has amazing dexterity skills and it shows in his work. Everything about that practice is first class- the girls, the surgery prep, and the follow-up appointments.

Is not qualified to do any work on the face or neck. Breasts are his "specialty" and he can't even get those right, either. Complete waste of money. One of the worst surgeons. Creates more problems for the patients afterwards, having to spend more money fixing his shoddy work. Leaves puckers, ridges where incisions should be flat and smooth - AWFUL.

Do not go to this doctor. It was a complete waste of money. I got multiple procedures done by this doctor and spent nearly 30k and I have no changed in appearance that warrant that kind of money.

I had a breast augmentation by Dr. Chu a few years ago. I am completely disappointed with the results of the surgery. After coming to him with my concerns about one of my breasts becoming hard, he offered no resolve and said that it should get softer with time. It's been over 2 years and my breast is very hard. Also he stitched the incision on the other breast (nipple) too tight creating a pucker. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. Save your money and go to a surgeon that will care for you after your surgery. I feel like the thousands of dollars spent was a waste and I'm still paying for it. Zero stars is my recommendation.

I went to Dr. Chu after he was recommended by my own doctor. I am 60 and am looking to do a face and neck lift initially, but at the consultation Dr. Chu convinced me to get botox and juvederm to carry me over till surgery. After 2 visits and $2445.45 (one visit was supposed to fix the bad results of the first visit), I look like I got punched in my face. I don't look normal, my eyebrows are now pointy like a witch, my eyes are pulled so I have wrinkles above the eye lid, my right eye is smaller than the left eye with a puffy overhanging eyelid. My friends suggest I wear dark glasses, I look so bad. Worst of all, when I asked for a refund, his office manager refused and when I told her I would report her, she said, "Go ahead". I wonder what would have happened if he had done a bad surgical procedure...I am only lucky in one thing...it takes 3 months-1 year for these injections to wear off. Until then, I am a recluse....Other surgeons I consulted said where Dr. Chu injected… Juvederm (around my eyes) is not supposed to be done...they also said it is usually the injector, not the injection...
