Dr. Benjamin F Donohue

My wife had shoulder surgery with Dr. Donohue and I have to say he is one of the most responsive surgeons I have ever dealt with. He gave me his personal cell phone number and I needed to use it on a number of occasions, even on the weekends! My wife had a lot of post-op pain and he helped me by prescribing different drugs as we tried to find the right medication for both pain and nausea, one that she would respond to with minimum side effects. So, my hats off to Dr. Donohue.

I saw Dr. Donohue for severe patellofemoral pain in both knees. He was understanding and caring about my pain. He spends a lot of time with his patients working towards a cure. He takes your pain seriously. I've been to two other doctors in the fingerlakes area. One pushed low light laser therapy with PRP injections which aren't covered by insurance, the other offered therapeutic touch therapy. Dr. Donohue didn't try to sell me wacky "alternative medicines" which are placebos. He's science-based. I'm so glad I found Dr. Donohue before moving away. If I wasn't moving, he'd be my go to.

I have seen Dr. Donohue for ankle and knee injuries over multiple appointments. I had ankle surgery after dislocating and breaking my ankle. Prior to the surgery he was very thorough in explaining the procedure and what I should expect, and was very good with follow-up. Close to two years out, my ankle is doing fine. He has also treated me for arthritis in my knees and a meniscal tear. Again, he has been very competent, compassionate, and taken time to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend him.
