Dr. Benjamin E Dratch, DO

I have been seeing Dr. Dratch for several years now and never had an issue with anything relating to the care or treatment I received. He is very knowledgeable and understanding of the patients during physicals or sick appointments. Although a huge downside to this Doctor is during my visits he has expressed personal beliefs and opinions to me regarding politics. When engaging in a conversation with a patient or customer, you should never talk about money, religion, or politics (especially in today's society). The doctor continuously brought up his political beliefs and expressed his thoughts of the political leaders decisions to me. I did not ask to talk about politics and Dr. Dratch must have not idea that I did not agree with his opinions about events that are occurred. I believe no person in politics is perfect and they may not make the right decisons all the time, but that should not be brought up with a customer. At the end of the day, I will not be going back to this doctor and… hope my future provider keeps our conversations respectable.

My dad saw Dr Dratch for the the first time as a post-hospital checkup. I was really impressed with how well he had reviewed my father’s medical records prior to our visit. Dr Dratch took time to answer all of our questions and made sure that we understood what he was saying. He was also very personable; he put my dad at ease with some sports talk and jokes.

I would give him no stars if I could. I have had nothing but problems with him and getting my prescriptions refilled. I also see a Rheumatologist every three months and have blood work done by him. Dr Dratch has access to these results. He has cancelled or refused to see me twice. It appears he didn't feel like doing my pap smear!! The appointment was scheduled for over a month and I'm sitting in the waiting room and he refused to see me!! He is currently on vacation (I had another appointment scheduled during this time) and his replacement refused to refill my medication because I haven't seen him! I am frustrated and frankly fed up. This has been an ongoing thing for the last 13 months. I will never go back! Ever! Bleeding to death and I would not see him or anyone in Premier Medical Group on Rodi Road.

Dr. Dratch was a breath of fresh air when I heard how loving and caring he dealt with my aging mother that is dealing with Dementia. He just seemed to get it and I was relieved to know he recognized some behavior and denial tactics from my mother whom believes “she’s just fine”. He is knowledgeable yet spoke with her kindly to reassure her that although her physical health is exceptional for her age, her loved ones and ones around her see things alarming worth looking into. He is clear and doesn't use terms patients wouldn't understand. He is thorough, but doesn't waste any unnecessary time. Really down to earth. Premiere medical hired a gem. I will be switching my pcp to him.
