Dr. Benjamin J Leak, MD

Following an annual physical I was referred to Dr. Leak. Turned out I had a stage 3 cancer in my kidney and less than 2 years to live unless they could remove the cancer in it's entirety. Through the entire process and followup after surgery, Dr Leak has provided the best of care, along with an excellent sense of humor. Now, 3.5 years down the road, I would not hesitate to give the highest of recommendations for Dr. Benjamin Leak and his staff! I owe my life to him!

Two complaints for today's appointment. I would like to start this out that I was thirty minuets late for my appointment today. Receptionist alerted me that it was alright because the Doctor was behind. We sat there for another fifteen minuets and two gentlemen came in, one was in a wheelchair and the other had braces on his hands. They had three other patients in front of them and it took ten minuets, at least, to get checked in. The receptionist told them they were ten minuets late and had to reschedule. I told the receptionist that they could go in front of me and she said, " I would have to reschedule your appointment." I told her that would be fine because I was having major bladder issue and I need to return home. She told me it would take another month to reschedule. ~shocked I waited for another 45 minuets before I even got back into the room which I had to wait for another thirty minuets. Doctor asked me three times what my issue was and he didn't even read the five pages I… filled out in the waiting room. He rushed through me and said that I need to make another appointment for next month. Nothing was done except waste of time. He's over booked and he's just pushing people through. There's people like me that needs help and I know three people didn't receive it today. Please choose another Urologist! You have been warned

I’ve developed a good relationship with Dr Leak over the years. He suggested a couple of biopsies due to high PSA’s. Although they were negative (thankfully), we later decided to do Green Light Laser surgery due to some other issues. The surgery went well and everything is functioning very well. I would recommend this doctor without a second thought!

My husband and I visited this office for a consultation. I was very disappointment with how the staff talked to married Couples. Not once did they say hi to me, greet me, or make me feel comfortable during the visit. They acted as if I wasn’t even there. I feel this is a sensitive issue that couples go through together, and the female should be treated with just as much respect as her husband. They in, fact, made me feel unwelcome the entire visit. The doctor wasn’t any better and didn’t even look or direct any questions towards me. I feel we were just another number and just needed a signature. I feel the staff should be trained in talking to couples and at the very least being friendly to couples who visit together. I felt we were rushed in and out like they needed to get on to another case. This is very disappointing to me as there are not a lot of options in our town for this service. I was given high reviews on this office and I have to say I am very disappointed in what I saw.… Very disappointing bedside manner.

I really should have read the multitude of negative reviews about this guy. Definitely need to avoid any services with him. Do not recommend!

On the "for real" side, this guy really knows his stuff and seems to appreciate inquisitive, knowledge seeking, patients. He's laid back, quite friendly, downright cordial, but still a cool, calm, professional. He's definitely one of my "keepers"!

Excellent and very friendly doctor. Only one member of the receptionist group was a bit rude. The other receptionists were very helpful, and they made the visits less stressful.

Dr. Leak was great! Very good dr who knows his craft very well. He did surgery on me and I was very pleased with all aspects of experience.
