Dr. Marks is an arrogant doctor who has little concern for his patients. I had two areas on my skin that required biopsy’s. There was concern that they may a form of melanoma. He told me that the results would be available within a week and that he would call me either way. I did not hear from him or his office so after nine days I called the office and had to leave a message asking if my results were available. Obviously, the issue was on mind frequently every day as it would be for most people. I got a notice by email that the results were available later that day. The good news was that the results showed no cancer. The bad news is that the results were completed and available to Doctor Marks 45 hours from the time he submitted them for analysis (on the 2nd day after the biopsy). I had to worry for 7 extra days for no reason. I wrote him to ask for an explanation twice and he never replied. He only called me after I filed a complaint 14 days after my first message to him with… Northwestern Hospital. He was unapologetic and would not address the issue regarding the delay or the reasons for not responding to my messages to him.

Dr. Marks is great. He had a good bedside manner and he will answer all of your questions. He caught shingles rash early which saved me prolonged suffering once he got me on treatment right away. I sent him picture and he asked me to come in to get treated. He has removed several moles and treated me for rashes. He answers all of my questions. He answers MyChart messages. He is a very nice person and is easy to talk to. I highly recommend him

Horrible experience and bedside manner with wound that isn't healing with no support from him! Hasn't answered emails for two days with pictures of red infected wound. When I first came in he was short - running in and out of the office as if I didn't exist. When I asked him a question he was walking out the door and said - you keep asking the same question. Which I was not. When I got my notes from the visit he falsely stated he reviewed ABCDE of Melanoma - and didn't ask me about tanning bed use. He looked me over in seconds and said this tiny little mole needed to be removed for pathology. They didn't give in depth description about how to care of the wound. Slapped bandages on me. The nurse said I couldn't shower for 24 hours - he said I could. Didn't say if I should or shouldnt remove the bandage - this was my FIRST time ever getting a skin biopsy I had no idea what was happening. I had all these huge bandage on me that ripped my skin off when I removed it. I had a… rash. He said one week until results - it was well past 10 days I had to keep calling for results. Meanwhile my biopsy hasn't healed itches and hurts - I have now emailed him 3 times!! 48 hours ago - and sent pics of a red and yellow wound site - NO RESPONSE. I can see my messages were read but he didn't respond. Not SURPRISING because he barely had time when I was in the office. He called to tell me it was nothing finally - and I said yes it didn't look like much. He said well it met the conditions to remove it. I felt like I was just a procedure code. I now have a painful wound and shared with others who have alot of biopsies in the past and they said it is MUCH deeper than theirs and it doesn't look like a shave. Others said barbaric - I would have to agree. I wish I had read reviews before going. I trusted my docs referral but I have since told him of my experience so others can be warned. Arrogant and can't be bothered by his patients after he has cut them up and given results - that is my experience. He doesn't care if it heals. I had to call my primary. Thank God he's an amazing doctor and person. Dr Marks? Not so much!

My experience with Dr. B.Mark was very unpleasant. I went to him to make a small surgery to remove a small ingrown pimple on my left thigh and after almost a month still dealing with another doctors to fix the problem that he created. Now I have infected, open wound. I would never recommend this doctor to any one.

Dr Marks was very friendly - I had my kids with me and he took the time to chat with them. He asked about me personally. I was stunned after reading the reviews about him not having a good bedside manner. He gave me a diagnosis quickly and said if I want feeling better in a couple weeks to call or return. I’ll defintely make him my permanent dermatologist.

Really used to be a great office expirence. Possible management change? Staff has changed along with Dr Marks personal touch. Sadly I will be taking my service elsewhere.

Not a nice person and very condescending. Find another doctor.
