Dr. Bennett Todd Morrison, MD

Good Doctor who saw me through two hospitalizations in the last 8 years. Called for an appointment yesterday and found out that I had been deleted from his patient list because I hadn't seen him in three years. That gave me the status of a new patient, only he wasn't taking new patients. No notice that any of this was going to happen. You probably should not make assumptions of consideration in this office.

I was a patient of Dr. Morrison for over 15 years. Nice guy, but pretty poor physician. Always runs late, often as much as 45 minutes to an hour. Diagnosis are spotty. He spends time with his patients, but he is pretty ditzy. I left the practice as with the new Medstar ownership, the practices has little interest in patient care.

The reason for the one star on "follows up after visit' is because there is not one for timeliness when needing to get the doctor to phone in a refill to the pharmacy. This has been the worst experience that I have ever encountered. I leave messages on his nurse's voice mail that my mother needs a refill on ___________ and please call me back when the refill has been done so I don't have to continue to call the pharmacy to check. If and when I get the call, I check back with the pharmacy (not right away, I give them a day to get the prescription filled) and time and time again, the refill has not been called/transmitted to the pharmacy. This is both annoying and time consuming nonsense that is due to a lack of effort on the doctors office. I don't know if the problem is the doctor or the nurse. But I do know, it is one of them. My mother is in very good hands with Dr. Morrison as far as the health part of it goes. He is very patient with her and thorough. My only negative comment, and… it is as negative as I can possibly put into words, is getting this office to get refills to the pharmacy within 24 hours. Believe me, the problem is not the pharmacy.

I cannot recommend him. Yes,you have to wait. When he met with me he was very social...story telling...not focused on my health, body, concerns. He spends time reading from a computer screen the reports... no serious dialog about the indicators. In one visit I heard so much about him that when he was done and I could talk, he blew off a female concern..."see an obgyn." Yet he is a generalist??? My request was not that out of line. But he had a game to go to,so I felt he blew me off. Yes, I could have interrupted, but why is he so unfocused? Another issue, after telling his office that I was dropping him, his office...six months later... renewed 3drugs that my current doctor renews only after regular check ups. I am very much more confident that my current doctor is focused on my health. Morrison should be embarrassed.

Lately 'Dr Morrison seems distracted Maybe office is giving him too heavy a workload

Dr. Morrison has been my physician since he started at this practice. He is a total professional, excellent, caring, funny, thoughtful doctor. My husband and I live an hour away from his practice, but he is worth the drive. When we moved farther away, we did not even think about changing physicians. I feel fortunate to have him as my doctor and share that with my family and friends. He takes excellent care of my husband and I. Thank you for all that you do Dr. Morrison!

Dr Morrison is an excellent doctor who knows how to listen to and speak to patients.

Great Doctor - you will have to wait to see him because he spends time with each of his patients, which is a rare quality in a Dr. these days. He is very thorough.

Courteous, well informed physician willing to give time and service to his patients.
