Dr. Benu Chatterjee, MD

I have see Dr Chatterjee for years. Her first interest is your health and she expects you to do your part. Not willing to go anywhere else.

I recently saw Dr. Chat ether and she by far is the rudest Doctor I have ever seen. She grabbed a piece of paper out of my hand and threw it on her desk. I feel she is confrontational when you question her about a test or issue you are having. I will be finding a new doctor.

Best Doctor I've seen in 30 years

Dr. Chatterjee is a no-nonsense, serious, excellent physician. I trust her and admire her for what she attempts to accomplish with us (her patients). She is the "real McCoy." If you are not serious about getting into good health, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Staff is ride and the dr isnt that caring. All she does is look at the computer the whole time and type. This wasn't a pleasant visit. We probably wont be back.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Chatterjee since 1994. We stayed with her this long for several reasons. First of all, people hate the hear the truth. We don't. She is a straight shooter. We do not need to be stroked but we need to know how to keep living which she has helped us to do all these years. She has been spot on with the diagnosis and she hates to prescribe a lot of pills. She would much rather you work hard to improve your health through healthy eating and exercise but will provide medication if necessary. I was once admitted to the ER and almost died from a double pneumonia and she literally had everyone in that ER hoping around doing whatever was necessary to save my life. I am indebted to her for that. Dr. Chatterjee may not be the doctor for you. Everyone has their own personal preferences. But one big factor we have stayed with her is because she cares, like a parent would care for her children. Now if you ignore her instructions and choose to be sick,… then like any caring parent she is going to admonish you accordingly. But again, if you are looking for someone to stroke your ego, or write you a prescription, you don;t have the right doctor. I recommend Dr. Chatterjee to people who want to live.

I've been seeing Dr. Chatterjee for about 6 years now and I am finally DONE with her. She has a hard time listening to anything I ever have to say. I come to her with symptoms and she writes them off as me making things up (symptoms I've had for 3-4 yrs now with no diagnosis). She undermines the patient and information sent to her from other doctors about the patient. She is rude and interrupts you constantly. You feel like you can't get a word in. And now since she is using a laptop while in the room with you, it is worse. She seems like she is too busy. When you are paying money to see a doctor, you want it to be worthwhile; not feel like you threw money at an establishment and left with zero answers about your health and well being.

I went to Dr. Chatterjee for a few years and left because she made too many mistakes. She always seemed rushed, seemed to be guessing on the diagnosis, and didn't seem to care. She was also rude to her staff - I witnessed her yelling at them several times. She was unprofessional and disrespectful towards patients and employees. She has a big ego and there is no discussions with her - either accept her word or get out.

She is very direct and cares a lot about her patients. If you mess up she will get on your case about it. She does a great job of explaining what is going on with your body and what to look out for in the future.
