Summary

Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I have been interested in medicine and education for as long as I can remember. I majored in elementary education in college and minored in biology. I worked as a student athletic trainer in college and after graduating college, I taught 4th grade in Baltimore County. I missed medicine when I was teaching and many of my students had various medical conditions, so I decided to apply to PA school. I teach every day, it is just in a different way. I have worked in both emergency medicine and family practice. I enjoy working in areas of medicine where I am able to care for patients of various age groups for a multitude of reasons. I have been blessed to know and care for so many wonderful patients over the years and in family practice that the added bonus is that you get to know their families as well. The relationships that providers can build with their patients in family practice is such a gift, and we can all learn from each other. What I want my patients to know about me:I am originally from Maryland and live in southern York County with my husband and middle school aged son. We have a very patriotic family as my husband is a veteran as well as my father, grandfathers, uncles, and so many other relatives. Although I had an interest in the military, God had other plans for me and it seems that my role is to take care of patients, many of whom happen to have been veterans over the years. I find it a privilege to care for our veterans who sacrificed so much for our great nation, as well as caring for all of our patients. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I am not seeing patients, I am spending time with my family. My son plays soccer amongst other sports and my husband often coaches. We are often found at soccer fields practicing, and having picnics or at parks fishing. We enjoy the outdoors and hiking and biking, as well as gardening, cooking, and traveling. I am an avid reader when time allows and I have learned quite a lot about animals as it is my son's passion. My family tends to visit many zoos and animal conservatories when we travel.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
