My doctor originally sent me to the Wentworth Douglas Weight loss program and it was awful. Dr. Havaleshko was cold and rude, the program was totally disorganized - they clearly did not know what they were doing. I switched over to Dr. Benedetto at Portsmouth and I am SO HAPPY I did! Dr. B and his team have been incredible every step of the way - comforting, informative, supportive. I couldn't imagine having a better experience. My surgery went great and I didn't have any pain at all. If you are thinking about weight loss surgery Dr. Benedetto is the absolute best around. 5 STARS!

Dr Benedetto explained the operation and the level of pain I should expect. He put me at ease about what to expect from the operation. His personality puts you at ease. My experience with Dr Benedetto has been outstanding. He was personable, patient and transparent as he educated and guided me through my decision for bariatric surgery. He did not pressure but rather provided all information I needed to make the right decision for me. He is invested in the outcome of each of his patients, not just because he was the surgeon but because he loves to see people feeling great and making positive changes to live happier and healthier lives. The program at Portsmouth Regional Hospital has been all that I have needed and more. They walk you through step by step to prepare for this amazing life changing opportunity. They truly care about each patient and their journey.

Dr. B and the Bariatric team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital are the best. I was nervous heading into my first visit with Dr. B but I shouldn't have been - I have never met a more caring and compassionate surgeon and my surgery went great! No pain and tiny little scars. Thanks to Dr. B, Jess and the entire bariatric team. They have changed my life forever! 5 stars.

I had my sleeve gastrectomy last Tuesday. One of the first since Dr. Benedetto came to Portsmouth. He is fantastic and has the best bedside manner of any doctor ever. He seemed to even make the nurses smile. Very supportive. I consider myself so lucky to have him as a surgeon!

Dr. B is one of my favorite doctors ever!! He has stood by me in my weight loss journey for years and I am so sad to see him go. Luckily Portsmouth is not very far and I will be following him up there. They are so lucky to have him! One of the absolute best!

I couldn't get into see Dr. B so he came to me and emptied my band - At my house! I did not know that doctors like this still existed! Could not recommend more highly.
