Dr. Bernard T Despres, DO

I had an appt about 4 years ago, and since I am unable to schedule a new one. A doctor is good,however an upfront person on phone is just WRONG. First of all, she has NO idea about insurances and "pretends" misunderstanding "kind of". Then, she is absolutely RUDE and unprofessional. And she really doesn't care if anybody schedules or not. Her arrogant and stupid voice just drives me crazy. I can't talk to her... She even offends you with her intonation of her voice! That's what I think.

I absolutely love Dr. Despres and the entire staff of his office! He has been my doctor since moving to the Altamonte area so when I found out I was pregnant I knew he would be my ob doctor as well and dint think twice about the 20 minute drive to the office! I have always been treated with the upmost respect and the girls at reception are alwasy friendly and even remember prior conversations we have had in the past! I would recommend Dr.Despres and this office to anyone who was in need of any of his service!

I am very upset with my overall experience. No bedside manner what so ever. The staff was rude as well. The things I was told were completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I would not recommend This practice to anyone.

I started seeing Dr. Despres almost 13 years ago when I got pregnant with my 2nd daughter in early 2000. He has always been awesome. His ofc has always been convenient drawing all their own blood and having ultra sound equipment in ofc.

Dr. Despres had delivered my 2nd child (a repeat c-section). I was very satisfied with his professionalism and care that when I found out I was expecting my 3rd child I knew exactly who I wanted to deliver my new addition. Although having another c-section was not something I was pleased with if I had to have one I was glad and felt secure under the care of Dr. Despres. I must say that getting my appointment took a bit, I must not be the only one that loves Dr. Despres. When I first called the first few times the phone receptionist lacked a bit of courtesy but then when I was being seen I never experienced impoliteness again and the staff was wonderful from then on...maybe some one was having a bad month??? Overall my experience was very positive and I would recommend Dr.Despres over an over again.

HE deliver both my boys and my oldest got stuck in the birth canal he did everything he could to deliver him with without hurting either of us. He then (when finish taking care of me) stay at the hospital with my oldest until the specialist could get there to take over because of his quick thinking my son is now 14 and has no problems. He also deliver my 2nd son early due to the fact that my first son was 10 lbs and he new i could not handle a bigger baby. My second son was 7 lbs 9 oz 5 weeks early. i also had a miscarriage and he was wonderful would not do a d&c until he was complete sure the fetas was gone(past away) HE MADE SURE I WAS OK. This man is the only dr i would see. I alos have a daughter that was deliver by a different dr and i actually went to dr.despres for my follow because this dr was in the e.r with my daughter was horriable. This dr is the best.....

I was left to miscarry nauturally after seeing no heartbeat on a sonagram. Initially I thought this was the best way. 2 weeks later I miscarried and then 4 weeks after that I was still bleeding. The Dr. tried numerous methods to remove whatever was left but on his non official sonagram machine it looked like there was nothing left. Finally after yet another unoffical sonagram it looked like there was something left which he labeled "a mole" when I asked what I should do next he said "we will send you to the cancer people." CANCER?!!!! Then he walked out of the room and left me with the receptionist to go over the next steps. After being sent to the oncologist and finally having an official sonagram done the oncologist preformed a D&C. The oncologist did not believe it was a mole but he preformed a D&C to remove whatever was left. It turned out there was a little piece of placenta stuck in my uterus. All this occurred 3 months after the first sonagram sighting without a heartbeat!!!!!… Had Dr. Despres did an official sonagram and/or a D&C this wouldn't have happened. I understand conservative but this was just nuts. I would recommend going to someone who is more specialized or who has other drs. in the practice to get a second opinion from!!

I waited for over an 1 and a half and then had to complain to get in the exam room. The doctor told me there was nothing he can do to help me with losing my hair and PCOS. There are plenty of doctors out there that claim there are medications to help but not Dr. Despres!. He was uncaring, ignorant, and only cared if I wanted to get pregnant. Even if I was pregnant I wouldn't trust him!

I LOVE DR.DESPRES AND HIS STAFF! I FEEL LIKE FAMILY EVRYTIME I GO THERE! HE DELIVERED TWO OF MY KIDS AND EACH TIME HE WAS VERY CALM AND SUPPORTIVE!
