Dr. Bernard Joseph Sopky, MD

Dr Sopky is very attentive and concerned about my health, referring me to the right specialist and tests to find out what was going on. I feel quite fortunate to have a doctor like him especially in the current environment around health care in general.

Dr. Sopky was my doctor for about 8 years. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. He listened to and understood my concerns. He gave good, solid advice that I followed. I am 70 y.o. The ONLY reason he is not still my Dr. is when I retired I moved from the area. He is the best. George Walker.

Dr. Sopky is defensive, talks over you and doesn't follow-up. He thinks he's an expert in every field even when he is wrong. He delayed sending me to orthopedics which delayed my surgery by months. He doesn't answer email and claims his staff handle his responses. So he never reads his own email. It seems he has a confidence issue

The worst physical ever. He didn't even check grandpas eyes, ears or throat. For a 90 year old man who still drives, I think that is important. Sopkey was more interested in making it look like he was doing something rather than actually helping his patient. We accomplished nothing and was a complete waste of time. He didn't even go over the 10 medications he has been taking for years! We are still waiting for the cardiac doctor to call for an appointment. It's been a week now and we haven't heard anything. Grandpas EKG came back abnormal, but still no follow up?! Why isn't this doctor taking care of his patient? Why's isn't he responsible for his health care? It's so sad the lack of care and responsibility this doctor has shown to his long time patient.

My experiences with Dr. Sopky have been very good. He is personable,friendly and we often talk about our interests we have in common. The medical care I receive is stellar. I really have had no negative experiences with him or his staff. The assistant's and nurses are awesome.
