Dr. Bertha L Cabrera, MD

My first born daughter was seen at her Division location back in 2012 waited over 4 hours to get seen. When finally got in with the doctor , my 18 month daughter was already tired/sleepy, Doctor tried to examine her and was not cooperating. Dr.Cabrera yelled at her face , she screamed loud enough that my sister in the waiting area had to come inside the room to see what was the issue, Her staff were shocked and said nothing. Since my toddler was crying Dr.Cabrera Handed me a wet towel and asked me to squirt my daughter with cold water so she can calm down. Of course I grabbed my daughter and never wen back to her. This is not right for the Doctor to react this way to crying babies, her specialty is Pediatrics and she should be able to manage this conflicts in a different way. Very Disappointed Never again did I went to her office.

Dr. Cabrera has been my children's pediatrician for more than 17 years. She has always shown my children and I respect. Whenever they are sick she knows exactly what they have just by looking at them. In my opinion, I think that is because she takes her time in getting to know her patients and when they are sick she just knows. I have a teenage boy and she is very good with answering all of his questions and concerns, as well as mine. I have recommended her to all of my family members and friends. She is just wonderful.

Excellent Doctor! She really listens and spends a good quality of time with each patient, which is where the waiting comes into play. However I would gladly wait knowing that I will have her full attention and she will spend time listening to me.

Best Doctor I have see in a long time. Yes you may have to wait, however, it is worth it! Dr. Cabrera takes her time to listen, she asks questions. She takes time to understand your concerns. Then takes time to explain a course of action. Dr. Cabrera is very resourceful and will connect you to support.

This is completely untrue. Dr. Cabrera is a wonderful MD not PhD. She has been my families pediatrician for over 25 years. Like someone else said she is worth the wait. She is friendly and the patients feel at home in her office. Only someone who does not understand the value of a personal connection with their physicain would make such an ignorant comment.

. ...This doctor is very rough does not care about making your or your baby mad. Rude, inconsiderate and I would never recommend any one take their baby to her.

Dr.Cabrera is of the most profesional,caring and knowledgable doctor!! definately worth the wait. staff at mount prospect location is very efficiant and profesional. I have been going to her for over 10 years and have no complaints.
