Dr. Beth A. Cohen, MD

Incredibly rude staff. Will continue to talk over you and do not explain things properly. They, and DR. COHEN, lack manners and communication skills. Dr. Beth Ann Cohen is incredibly disrespectful to patients, belittling them infront of staff and other patients and making truly hurtful and unnecessary snide "analogies". She and her staff are not truthful and lie often. They will claim to call and leave voice-mail but never do. They will claim that they don't recieve information about coinsurance payments due until you walk in - also not true. (You can verify this with your insurance). While at her location in East Stroudsburg, she has a scheme where if you don't pay the surprise bill they never informed you about, you won't get seen and pay an extra $50 for a no call no show. Add that to also an extra $10 if you don't pay on time. Dr. BETH ANN COHEN ensures that you are nothing more than a dollar sign around a revolving door. Attempt to speak to her about how she or staff has… treated you and you will see and hear the off handed apology first hand. It's just a business transaction. As for medical knowledge and skill, relatively ok but not grand. The only thing she has for her is her dates of service are faster than other neurologists but still don't recommend her to anyone.

I've been a patient of Dr Cohen since 2007. She got me on the road to wellness after a spinal chord injury. I credit her with saving me! She listens to me and always uses compassionate care. I've never had a problem with her staff and Crystal was one of my favorites. She never treated me as these reviews mention. I've seen her staff being bullied and treated harshly by patients. Such a shame that this happens all over. Put your trust in Dr Cohen. She saved me!

Dr. Cohen needs to replace her receptionist, Crystal. I don't usually write negative reviews but she is the most unprofessional person I've ever conversed with. She is beyond rude and makes things very difficult when trying to communicate with the doctor.

Dr. Cohen is the best. She listens and cares. The best compliment I could give is that I recommended my husband to Dr. Cohen. He is pleased with my suggestion.

I LOVE Dr Cohen... she is compassionate and listens... BUT... her staff... namely Crystal, needs sensitivity training and she seems to get aggravated when she has asked to do her job. And God forbid you take opioid painkillers... she treat a you like a junkie and if your scripts are wrong, Crystal gives you an attitude and treats you like crap. Patricia is much mire helpful. I was recently taken off a medication that I wasn't told I was being taken off by the Dr. I was just surprised when pharmacy didn't fill it. When I called Dr Cohen office Crystal answered and gave me attitude yet again. I am growing increasingly frustrated. Yes, there is a problem with prescription painkillers in this country, but some of us can't take synthetic drugs and wouldn't have quality of life without them. I take mine responsibly and for those people dismissing people like me as a drug seeker, you have to walk a mile in my shoes. It's because of stigma by the Dr staff and govt pencil pushers is why good… people in chronic pain turn to self medicate with illegal drugs.

Dr.Cohen is a great doctor with the exception of her not finishing paperwork that we paid her to fill out and not backing up her words to my husband. But her staff is horrible!!!!! They are very rude especially her secretary Patricia. It’s terrible how this women is handling patients with head injuries and she’s the first person they talk to and she is rude and short tempered and rushs people off the phone without allowing them to explain. One of the staff members hung up on my husband and today Patrica was rude when I called and when someone from another company that was trying to explain something to her called. Because of them not taking time to be decent humans and sit and actually fully listen and having terrible customer service my husband won’t leave his bed and is having horrible anxiety and panic attacks. I’m trying to keep him calm so he doesn’t have seizures and she won’t even help us! She needs to find a new profession ASAP and because of the staff I’m considering finding… my husband a new neurologist!!

I have been seeing her for quite some time now she is quite a woman she spends time with you when you are speaking to her she looks At you which tells me that she's interested in what you have to say and I how really feeling she is always trying to help you in anyway she can to make you feel better and and I would not see anyone else

smart, upto date, compassionate Dr wait time of 10 min for Dr. No longer has health issues so schedule is not affected. have seen three other neurologists and she is far superior. Staff is great

dr listens to what I have to say. follows up after appts. goes the extra mile. staff is caring and makes me feel welcome

Super kind and compassionate lady. Her own illness however makes her very unreliable and often appointments are cancelled at the very last minute causing personal issues with losing work time. Long wait times in the waiting room regardless of appointments. Desk lady is not very nice. However, once you are in with the doctor she is 5 stars.
