Dr. Beth Ann Hanrahan, MD

I've never met the doctor. I met with her NP x2. As a new patient, they ordered labs. In all my 68 years, I never had to pay for labs until now. I received a bill for $300. The secretary was confident that they could help by correcting the coding. (She was helpful) It didn't work. Long story short my insurance company stated some of the labs were not medically necessary. The office manager was very helpful a week ago. Now she is not returning my phone calls...... Their fax machine was down for 2 weeks. It appears this office is very chaotic. But i want to acknowledge the secretaries.

Unfair practice. I was charged an office visit fee on top of my Annual Well Exam. I have no pre-existing medical concerns, no prescriptions and was there to review my labs and overall health screening. I feel taken advantage of and will not return. I was in the exam room less than 10 minutes and again no medical problems, no referrals, no medications. I was told to come back in 3 months to re take labs ... at that time I could see an office visit charge but to stack that on top of my well visit? That is unfair.

I needed a form for foster care filled out and the office refused to do it unless I made and appointment and paid the fees. This was very time sensitive! why on earth couldn’t the doctor sign the form?! Absolutely horrible experience and I will certainly be switching doctors now. Avoid this practice at all costs!

Not only do I feel Dr. Hanrahan is an excellent choice for my PCP, her office and nursing staff is also very good. They are friendly, professional and efficient. I get excellent care there.

I love Dr Hanrahan. She's knowable, a positive thinker, and a GREAT Doc. However I'm turned off by the abrasive signs in and around the office. As an employee or sales person I would rather be told those things in an office meeting or in-person politely. I wish she was able to choose her own employees. I understand Baycare has a lot to do with those things. Although I came into the office with a copy of my blood results last week, the nurse helper did not have the current ones (she thought it was a problem of Baycare). She found them as we were conversing.

Dr. Hanrahan appeared to be a caring and thorough doctor. I was impressed by her attitude and questions. However, her staff has been nothing but rude. I cannot get an answer. When I asked them about a drug I was prescribed, I was told to call a lab since they were a doctor's office and had no info on drugs. When I asked about my mammo or blood results, I was told no news is good news. This, in spite of the fact that there were several alarming numbers on my test. There is no email address and no access to the doctor without a 3-month waiting period.

My physical was the best that I have had in years. Dr. Hanrahan was very thorough. She was easy to talk to and listened to my opinions. The office staff were very friendly and helpful. In the past, I have had an appointment with Nancy who was also thorough and friendly.

My insurance assigned Dr. Hanrahan as my Primary doctor. I made an appointment on 8-15-19 and waited 15 minutes in the waiting room and then was taken to an examining room where I waited another 45 minutes. A young lady came in and introduced herself as a nurse practitioner. I asked if I would be seen by the doctor, and she replied not at this appointment. This was unacceptable, and I left. I called a few days later and asked to make an appointment to see the doctor. The person answering the phone told me to hold, and when she came back to the phone I was told that Dr. Hanrahan would not see me as a patient.

Dr.Hanrahan's office staff is incompetent and rude, especially Diana, the office manager. I have been trying to get a referral for three weeks now and they still are incapable of doing this for me. You would like that I had asked for the Holy Grail. Anyway, in need of physical therapy, at Dr. Hanrahan's request, I still have been unable to get a referral to make an appointment. I am considering legal action because Dr. Hanrahan's office staff is prohibiting me from getting the medical attention that I need and am paying for. The worst ever! Do yourself a favor and see another doctor who has a competent office staff.
