Dr. Beth Yvonne Lambert, MD

After trying to refill a prescription, the nurse (probably not RN, LPN @ best), decided to talk down to me with continued need for annual visit for well check. This was without opportunity to explain many other office visits at their location and with other specialists for my son who is profoundly autistic, has visited neurology at UPMC for potential seizure disorder (EEG, EKG), ENT for sinuses (4 new meds), dermatology for moles and birthmarks (does nurse understand implications and risk of "cafe" cancer concerns?), developmental pediatrician (understanding of autism with diagnosis and proper meds?) and my son is getting a trained autistic service dog next month (trained as much if not more than nursing staff). This potentially all due to another doctors name being on my son's RX who is affiliated with practice but has has sanctions applied in past from medical community. Although my son has only seen Dr. Lambert and Carrie the "PA" in the past, I get addressed for thoroughness of… well check-ups. Can't wait to see how nursing staff addresses my concerns for my son and their recommendation based on staff's minimal knowledge on any of son's concerns. Professionalism overall has been great but nursing staff needs bedside manner skills or interpersonal skills probably not offered at ITT or Po-dunk Nursing School. I have been affiliated with many major teaching institutions in eastern PA including Thomas Jefferson, Hahnemann, Temple, Penn, VA, Hershey Medical, Lankenau, PCOM, Albert Einstein and worked within big Pharma 10+ years with companies such as Pfizer and Novartis. But because the nurse (?) called me while I was doing dishes and did not have all pertinent info in front of me I was talked down too by this medical guru. Hope staff can step up to professionalism of docs in practice and not continue to drive business away.
