Beth Schorr Lesnick, MD

Having seen several specialists over the years, I’ve never had a more collaborative, thoughtful, prepared and caring physician than Dr. Beth Schorr-Lesnick. For the last 11 years or so, she has helped me manage a chronic gastrointestinal condition. She does her homework in advance of every procedure and appointment, reading the latest medical literature on my condition. She then makes the effort to demystify medical jargon and help me understand her diagnoses and thought process. She also possesses a high emotional quotient, aware that my feelings matter just as much as my understanding. I also really appreciate that we make decisions together. It makes me feel like I have an important role to play in my own care. For all these reasons, I recommend Dr. Schorr-Lesnick to anyone needing a gastroenterologist.

my primary doctor referred me to dr lesnicks office for stomach issues. I should have known by how nasty the office staff was on the phone that this visit would be a problem. When I arrived the less than healthy looking woman at the counter was dismissive and short tempered. After waiting for what seemed to be an eternity, I was called in to the room by what I assume was a nurse or assistant, she never said what she was. I felt rushed and uncomfortable with this persons demeanor. the dr finally came in and did her exam and I was then told to go to her office. In the office she proceeded to ask a ton of questions and took notes on the computer for 20-25 minutes, the whole time repeating out loud everything she was typing. her exam seemed quick and not thorough and I was not impressed at all. I called my dr and he apologized and said that he has heard a few complaints from patients about the office but he had hoped that things had gotten better. He has since referred me to another dr… and the experience has been so much better.

I took a chance on Dr lesnick and found her to be good but her staff is terrible. The receptionists are rude and incompetent and her assistant Pam is gruff and nasty and reeks of stale cigarettes. Trust your health elsewhere

Dr Beth has been my gastro for 21 years. I can say without a doubt that she is the best ! Dr Beth has seen me through some pretty tough times and she does so with compassion and expertise. She takes the time to talk to every patient, she allays your fears and treats every patient with respect. She is amazingly thorough and has the best bedside manner. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t see Dr Beth for all your gastro issues.

She has been my doctor for 9yrs. My Crohns disease was ruining my life. It was so difficult to be at work using to the bathroom 5-7 times a day... After being under her care for 6mo. everything is under control. I now have great quality of life. She's intelligent and sensitive. she's also a good listener.

I was visited by Dr Schorr-Lesnick while hospitalized for severe c-diff. She was covering for my gastro doc that weekend. I found her manner impatient and dismissive. When she entered my hospital room, I was attending to needs in the bathroom. She announced her arrival by shouting at me through the bathroom door. She stated I needed to hurry because she had to be at another hospital. Aside from her poor bedside manner , I found her medical skills even less impressive.

If you want to catch up on your reading go sit in the waiting room for 40 min. Then the assistant will take your history and you wait more. The doc finally comes to you and enters more info into the computer never once looking at you....sends you away after making another appt. The process is repeated with no cure achieved. A total waste of time when you are looking for a cure for gerd and stopping medicines that harm your kidneys.
