Dr Patel may possibly be a good doctor however his staff is completely unprofessional and quite condescending when you ask questions. They don't like any questions when you are filling out paperwork. The front desk didn't even know how to file tricare, which is military insurance and quite common, or maybe she just didn't want to, I'm not sure. It took her an hour to figure it out where she kept yelling my name with questions from her desk and when I would go to her desk she would immediately tell me to sit down. And when I inquired about it she threw her papers down and shuffled her desk saying "I'm just doing my job." I asked to speak to the office manager "Terri" however I was met with even more condescending answers that she didn't have time to answer and made that quite clear. This office is a last resort. I will not be returning and seeking another doctor. ironically when I saw the dr he told me to avoid stressful situations. his staff did not provide this type of… environment. A curteous office staff is key to a good doctor. As I said, he may be a good doctor, but he is losing me as a patient due to his office manager Terri and her staff. Thank you.

My wife had a stroke and cannot tolerate heat, so she waited in our Van with the Air Condiitioning on for 3 hours. After the medical visit I asked Dr Patel lf 3 hours was excessive and he said no, he has people who are happy to drive hundreds of miles and wait over 4 hours to see him. I told that the wait would not be too bad if his Waiting Room was cooler and maybe had a TV. He said that he was not here for comfort, we are here for medicine. I told him to check it out, comfort is part of medicine. He said " If you are not happy, feel free to go some where else, I have 6 months of patients that I don 't need." I called the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and explained our situation . We received 2 appointments, I with a Cardiologist one day and a Neurologist the next day. We spent 20 to 30 min with the 2 Nurses and a little over 2 hours with each Doctor. We were extremely impressed! They apologized for us having to travel so far. I told them that it was only 2 hours and the… results were worth the trip and if needed, I would do it weekly, its a lot better that waiting 3 hours for an arrogant do nothing but blow his own horn person who dares to call himself a Doctor. I guess 1 Star is as low as I can go.
