Bobby Brite, FNP-C

I want to start this review off first by stating that personally I like Bobby and he's been my physician since shortly after he went on his own 6 years or so ago and I have referred multiple patients to his practice over the years. But after today I won't and I will be looking for another physician and an office who treats patients with care, respect and understanding. I had an appt today for a blood draw at 9:45am there was a wreck on 67 this morning and traffic was slow so I was running behind. I walked into his office at exactly 10am this morning and there was a patient at the window paying/scheduling a follow up so I waited behind them. When he left and I stepped up to the counter it was 10:01am and before I could say anything the girl at the front desk Arcella said "sorry Marcus I'm going to have to reschedule your appt because you are past our 15 minute grace period." I told her I'm sorry I'm running behind but I walked in rt at 10am so I was within the 15min grace period and she… said no I didn't see you till 10:01am. I said no ma'am I walked in rt at 10am and was waiting behind the guy that just left and she goes well I didn't see you until 10:01 so unfortunately you are going to have to reschedule. Mind you the waiting room is completely empty. I then told her well I'm only here for labs and I'm fasting so can I please just have my labs done I'll wait. She stated that I still needed to see Bobby so I would need to reschedule. I then asked her if she can please talk to Bobby and she said she didn't know if he was available or not. Mind you again the waiting room is completely empty. I insisted she talk to him and so she went to the back and came back a few minutes later and stated she was going to let me have my labs done but that I wasn't going to get to see Bobby and I would need to reschedule. As a physician you and your staffs job is to show care and compassion. I could completely understand if the waiting room was packed and he was running behind schedule but the fact that his front desk argued with me over 1 minute and there were zero people in the waiting room and your staff Nurse was sitting by the patient entry door doing absolutely nothing is absolutely ridiculous. What happened to customer service and caring about patients and their time? No one ever even asked me why I was late just that I was one minute past their 15 min grace period and I couldnt see him. If someone had asked I could have explained there was an accident on 67 and I was caught in traffic. But honestly with the way she acted I don't think she would have cared either way. Which is sad because thats exactly what a Dr and his office should do.
