Dr. Bobby Sang Chu, MD

I came to the ER for a refill of my fentanyl lollipops (for restless legs, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia), but Dr. Chu refused to refill my prescription. He just told me to take ibuprofen! Very unprofessional and condescending. Next time, I'll buy my narcotics in Mexico!

I am very pleased with the knowledge and expertise I was given as a patient. Dr. Chu took time to listen to my concerns and I did not feel "rushed" through the exam. I was very pleased with his good nature and professionalism. I would and will refer many others to him and this facility.

For an emergency center, I was seen relatively quickly by the attending, Dr. Chu. However, I do not feel that he can make an accurante diagnosis without listening to the patient and noting past medical history. I gave him (and the nurse) a brief description of my past medical history that I may as well have kept to myself since he chose to draw conclusions from I really don't know where. Given that, he ordered several unnecessary lab tests and misdiagnosed my chronic problem. (I knew what my problem was, and I visited the emergency center because I needed "emergency medicine" for it.) I told him what my problem was, yet he ignored it. I work for a large hospital in the medical center and I must say that Dr. Chu's expertise, professionalism and bedside manner are less than substandard.

Dr. Chu was uncaring, uncompassionate, arrogant and just down right rude. He also completely mis-diagnosed a serious infection that was later treated somewhere else. He is the worst example of a physician I have ever come across. I am horrified he is in practice. Especially emergency medicine.
