Dr. Bonnie Lee Applewhite, MD

I have been trying to feel better for 29 years bouncing around from Psychiatrist to Doctor and back again. Finally I went to Dr. Applewhite after a Doctor friend referred me to her. She has really helped me a lot and I feel like for the first time I found a partner in my quest to feel better. She listens and isn’t afraid to try different things at my the pace I am comfortable with. I am so grateful. My only regret is that I couldn’t have her earlier so that my quality of life could have been much better in my younger years.

I have seen Dr. Applewhite a handful of times and each time she looks like she is high as a kite. She can barely keep her eyes open and looks annoyed that you are there. She cannot even look at your chart to ensure she writes your prescriptions correctly. She also begs for you to give her a good review to combat the negative ones, so I told her I would write a review and here it is. Do not waste your money because she is not worth $100. You might as well flush $100 bill down the toilet. She is uninterested in how you are doing and will check her text messages as you are talking. She says it’s patients needing medication but I feel like she should give her undivided attention to the patient in the room. Appointments are made by leaving a message and someone who is God knows where calls you back. It is hit or miss on how long you will wait to get in to see her. I have never seen someone leave while I’ve waited but somehow she is 10-15 minutes late. I would say she is reviewing my… chart but as I stated earlier she cannot even write my prescriptions correctly or remember anything about me. If you decide to see Dr. Applewhite do have expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

Dr. Applewhite was inviting , empathetic and worked to include me in the recovery plan. Her treatment plans were based in evidence. She made sure that I understood my diagnosis, the plan and the reasons for her decisions.
