She was great with my son when he didn't want to go to school and told me he had "double vision..." She quite quickly cleared that up but was kind and gentle when dealing with him. She also sees adults and helped me with my post Lasix "dry eye" for which the surgeon prescribed expensive drops (did not help and I had blurred vision and very irritated eyes). She diagnosed me with a changed composition of tears and all I need to do is clean my eyes twice a day with a special solution - voila! No more dry eye!!

With Dr. Nickel, there are no week-end day-offs: She treats patients on Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays. Perhaps that is because majority of sports accidents of the eye occur. Aside from treating adult eye conditions, she is also an expert at pediatric eye conditions., since he is experienced at Pediatrics. She is one who is not afraid to give her private number to her patients who have grave eye conditions. I personally had an experience with a terrifying relapse of my eye condition and no matter what time of the day or night you need her ~ she is there for you. No "telephone recordings to call only on office hours". No such thing if she knows you have a serious eye condition, she is available for consultation by phone during off-hours. What an unusually dedicated doctor with impressive education (UCLA) and background. One will not see diplomas and certificates hanging in her waiting room, unlike other physicians who deck their reception rooms with all kinds of awards and… certificates.
