Worst doc ever don't hve any knowledge at all jst eating my money n time .

I have been a patient of Dr Briskin and Dr Leybel for the past 4 years, but I will not be returning after my experience this week. Like many of the other reviews speak to, the receptionist is EXTREMELY rude and Dr Leybel doesn’t seem to care how she treats his patients. My typical visit would consist of me waiting for 45 minutes to be seen, then a three minute conversation in an office that smells like mold, they write my prescription and ask me to return in 6 months so they can get some more money. This week I ran out of my meditation 1 day before my appointment, so I called and asked to have 2 pills called in to my pharmacy until I could get to my appointment the next day. The immediate response from the receptionist was “it’s impossible” which is a ridiculous response. When I told her I have been a patient for 4 years and I would think my neurologist wouldn’t want me to be without medication, she hung up on me! When I called back and asked for one of the doctors to call me back, she… told me again it was impossible to get my prescription refilled, and I told her I wasn’t speaking with her and I would like for one of the doctors to call me. Miraculously the “impossible” became possible when I got a call back it was from her (so she disregarded my request) and the prescription had been called in. When I went to my appointment the next day, she admitted to hanging up on me after I waited 45 minutes, I told Dr Leybel I wouldn’t be returning due to the interaction I had with his receptionist, he didn’t care to ask about what happened. Since he doesn’t seem to care about how his office staff treats his patients and how his receptionist is representing his practice I’m looking for a new doctor and would encourage anyone that wants to be treated respectfully to look elsewhere for treatment

I was fortunate to have been a patient of Dr. Leybel for over 10 yrs. He was the only doctor that took time to listen to me. His staff on Park Ave.,Broadway and New Jersey are amazing. Thank You All. Yvonne B.

this Dr is something! Poor bed manners! Looooong waiting! Wouldn't listen! Wouldn't explain! "If u don't trust me, go to another doctor" - all I could get from him! My co-pay is $50. The rude secretary (Gala) charged extra $ 1.38 for payment, that was made by a credit card! First TIME it happened to me!! Who cares about $1.38, but the greed! THE GREED! Performed some tests - never explained. Prescribed meds - never explained. 1 for a condition I do NOT HAVE! Well, I waited a whole month to get an appointment FOR NOTHING! Stay away from this office

I went to my appointment and was told by the staff that I have to Pay upfront $150 for the visit because I have a high deductible that has not been met. Upon receiving EOB they will reimburse me if I overpaid. I thought I went to the doctor, not the retail business. What about ethic and purpose of being doctors. I see other doctors wih my insurance and never had such experience before. I left office without my shots and any help because I did not had any money with me that day! For this doctor It’s all about money and not caring for th people. Unfortunately. BTW it was not my first visit to this office and I paid my bills before on time. I just happened to change my insurance this year and they unable to help me without payment first.

I like both doctors, they try to be helpful and they really are when/if you finally get to see them. However, scheduling, waiting and payment is a nightmare. The secretary would start calling insurance to figure out if they are in network and what the payment should be at the moment it is your turn to go into the doctor's room and even after that. You have to pay upfront double price and then wait until you get EOB to adjust your payment/get a refund. Appointment is never on time and you can end up waiting hours. It's a pity that 2 successful doctors cannot afford a more efficient, patient-friendly and modern office management system.

Although they confirmed that they take my insurance, when I went to my appointment I was told by the staff that they have to charge me $450 for the visit in advance because I have a high deductible that has not been met. I see other doctors w my insurance and they trust the patient to pay when they send a bill. Totally unacceptable. Also everybody there is Russian and the office looks sad.
