Dr. Boris I Orkin, MD

Could not recommend Dr. Orkin more. He was honest, professional and kind during a very difficult time. He immediately made me feel comfortable, educated me on the procedures and made my safety his number one priority. He called me the days following my procedure and was so genuine in his approach to the conversation. Honestly cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you, Dr. Orkin.

I do not recommend this doctor to anyone! I went through a traumatic experience and he made it even worse. So much so I ended up leaving, and ended up going to another doctor who was WAY more professional. I would consider how he treats women as chauvinistic and practices as malpractice. Not only that but his assistant/receptionist was in the room during my consultation and was giving her input, when one it wasn't asked for and two she's not even a doctor or even in the realm to be giving ANY opinion on the matter.

Make sure you know what your insurance requires you to pay because he owes me a refund of over $1000 from an overpayment and is refusing to reimburse me. My last call to him resulted in him threatening me with a lawsuit because the insurance isn't paying him what he thinks they should.

Dr. Orkin is the most amazing, caring and helpful man. I'm so glad I found him to do my surgery. He did an amazing job and he is a great person.

If you need a lot of coddling and counseling and hand-holding, Dr. Orkin may not be the best choice for you. He doesn't sugar-coat things or euphemize; he is honest to the point of bluntness, and gets right down to business. If you want to feel doted on, this really isn't the place for you. However, if you have a life threatening condition and desperately need someone who really knows what they're doing, there's really no better doctor out there. He's been doing this for years, and he's very confident and professional about everything. In terms of competence, I really couldn't recommend him enough. If you want one of the most skilled and experienced doctors in the state, look no farther. If you want someone to hold your hand and be there to counsel and support you through every step of a difficult process... I would recommend a therapist, or perhaps one of the women's clinics in the area. This is not Dr. Orkin's strong point (but with medical skills as good as his, I can… happily look past that).

I don't recommend this doctor no one.

He lacks every bit of professionalism. In 15 min he has successfully insulted me, my husband and my country. He didn't listen to what I had to say, he already had a preconception about what I was suffering from. He got into polemics against any other health system other than the US one. Overall, my issue wasn't even nearly solved, my day was ruined and I had to tell him in his face that I won't see him again!
