Dr. Branavan Umakanthan, DO

I've been a patient of Dr.Umakanthan for 2015 I started in 2013 I happen to get him in the hospital and seen him a few times and then lost him found him again in 2015. I was having so many issues Dr.Umakanthan found a whole in my heart that fixed most issues I'm so thankful he took the time to run a bunch of test to find the problem. He's the best and so caring . Never will I go too some one else. The staff is great too .

Wow, all of their locations average a two star rating! Not surprising. In regards to the water Street location Upon the day of my appointment - which took weeks to get in... I received an early morning call the day of, asking to reschedule for a later time because " the doctor is busy". I give them benefit of the doubt believing they still hold some credibility. Upon arrival, a man is yelling back and forth with " the front desk lady" in poor mannerism on both ends. I still overlooked the negativity and resided optimistic. I saw my doctor for three minutes, he then vanished and ran out the front door with staff quickly chasing him but he did have that appointment after all. I gave feedback to the same "front desk lady"; and she replied that it wasn't ok he was in a hurry and short with me, and we can reschedule to continue tomorrow since I only had a five minute window to consult! I arrived the next day and she wanted two co-pays, and refused to call my insurance to… see if they pay for it. So I was double billed for his short notice of the appointments inconvenience, and she had the nerve to literally yell at me. So I drove there with her saying it wasn't ok that he discontinued a meeting, and he didn't have the time etc but I'm being asked to double pay for this, not asked but demanded - in very poor uneducated Etiquette. So I still have an appointment three weeks out for tests. I call management to leave messages for the worst of CEO's (LARRY) He returns 0 of 3 messages in two weeks time. But wait there service gets worse! What about Maris the "clinical director" She actually returned my call the forth time. After ten minutes of conversing about Larry having no idea how to return a phone call she said in the notes that I refused to pay for tests" But no one reached out to me regarding any phone calls or regarding the miscommunication from what a "front desk lady" says....? She said it's ok that management doesn't return my calls and after waiting two weeks or longer I am to find out I can't be seen there or perform my tests any longer. They sent a letter to me (in theory), stating I can't be seen, but couldn't return phone calls the day of - it took over two weeks. I thought the doctor would still be reasonable as I own my own business, he'd understand I am not neglecting any form of rational payment, but then I discover: " he sent the letter" - saying I refused payment for meetings and tests. Ahahaha. This is a joke! That 1960's styled apartment unit called a doctor's office is just begging for double payments. And yet, he never even spoke to me about a payment. This place has the poorest of ratings Beware of so called specialist: Beware-BRANAVAN UMAKANTHAN Beware-The unnamed "front desk lady" Beware- LARRY - the CEO And of course beware - MARIS Sincerely, This place is the worst of the worst. I have yelped less than a few times in my life, this place was just so terrible I had to share.

I was referred to this Doctor by my pcp and I've never seen a specialist in my life and i knew i was going to be nervous. I got to the office and right away the front office was polite. After of waiting 5 mins, YES 5 mins to wait for the doctor to see me, i was greeted by 2 of his nurses which were super nice and friendly. They instantly made me less nervous. As it was time to see the Dr. waited only 2 mins before he came in. Dr. Umakanthan is the nicest Dr. i've ever met. He is very smart and answered all my questions and not once did he try to rush out like most Dr.s I highly recommend coming to see Dr. Umakanthan and his staff. Also read he was #1 in the valley. TRUST me, he's worth it.

One Amazng Doctor! Has all the qualification for a great Doctor!

During one of my recent visits the nurse knew I was a hard stick for drawing blood and a second nurse came in with an attitude, uncompassionate and drew blood by sticking me twice and hurting me. It was quite painfull and unprofessional. She did it on purpose. Once I complained about her, I received poor care at Dr. Umakanthan's office. His office was unhelpfull and retaliated against me by delaying care and not answering any of my Q's. Plus they delayed all referrals. I had to drop him. I would not recommend him or his staff to my worst enemy.

Dr. Umakanthan by far is one of the best cardiologists and we're lucky to have him in our town. He knows how to take care of his patients.

He is the most caring physician I have met in a long time. I was overwhelmed by his care of not only the patient but the family as well
