Dr. Brandon Edward Locklear, MD

I had a yearly exam scheduled for the end of Sept. 2019 with Dr. Brandon E Locklear. I had never been to his office or heard of him, he was on the list with my insurance company and not too far from me. I was treated very professionally by the office staff as well as Dr. Locklear and his nurses. He actually took time to talk to me about me and my life and what is and is not going on with my health as a maturing woman. Not only was Dr. Locklear, clear and open to being available to me as a patient before my next yearly he expressed that if I had any questions to please call. I had to call today because I had not received a phone call or letter of my results. I spoke to an office staff member that was professional and courteous she also let me know that a post card was sent out and the date it was sent so we figured I might have accidentally taken it for junk mail and not read it so she let me know all was well. I will return to this office and see Dr. Locklear for future… appointments for my "girl" parts needs. Thank you. Deb Abbott

Heathrow OB/GYN canceled 4 of my daughter's appointments in a 6 month period. When my daughter's pain got so bad we went to ER and they said she needed surgery! Heathrow canceled us again and then God led us to Dr Brandon Locklear. Dr Locklear immediately scheduled surgery and he took from my daughter the biggest ovarian mass he'd removed in his 15 year career. He couldn't believe my daughter suffered so long with this!!!

Dr Locklear is caring doctor and I am delighted to have found him. I don’t easily give 5 star rating and when I do it’s because the individual exceeded my expectations. This is the case with Dr. Locklear. He is worthy of my perfect rating.

He is very nice and caring Dr. Very easy to talk to and great bedside manor...

I have had two very serious, crucial, poor experiences with this doctor. The first was 2009 when my 4th child was born. He left me in labor for hours with much of nothing happenning, over a day when done and said, then when it was time to push, pushing or trying for quite a few hours while I continue to tell him the pain is "unbearable and very different from what I was used to. Considering my first child at 18 was 11 lbs 13 ounces, natural child birth, you think they would listen when I say something is not right. I was totally ignored and reminded verbally of "who the doctor is..." Turns out my son was being hung with the cord wrapped twice around his neck for over 8 hours! He was blue and looked as though he was beaten. The beaten facial look lasted over a day. Now at age 4, since he was 2 or so, we have noticed "serious" issues, probably from asphyxiation. (I do not need a doctrine because I went through something similar with my first child. He was 2 weeks overdue and the cord was… deteriated.) (This current child...)He definately has problems but the doctor said no testing really until around 5-6, school age. Then just 2012, I have to deal with him, Locklear again. A week prior, his wife, who they seem to be deceiving patients by her being in the same practice with a different name, has just given me the news that I am pregnant, and with twins at age 40. She gave me my ultrasound pics. The reason I had came in the first place was I had done a home test that was positive but I was having some "pink tissue" with "pink spotting" on a regular basis. (What I had originally thought was my period starting.) So next is my paperwork appointment. But I was feeling "generally ill" and very worried about the condition of the twins. I pleaded for him to "check them". I expressed this to him over and over until he finally pinned me in a corner, me in my chair and him in the rolling chair....scolding me and telling me "things happen, pregnancies end every day, people deal with it!" Until I was crying and leaving. Then he stopped me in the hall and attacked me verbally, loudly in front of other patients who were in the waiting room, while I tried to pay my co-pay, that if " I didn't see him, I didn't see anyone else in HIS practice either." So me and my husband who sat and heard and seen the whole thing, entirely in shock, walked out and left. I had a new doctor by the end of that day. Locklear tried to hold my records. Dragging on them for 3 days! Long story short I had lost both babies and had he been a professional, he would have checked me, knew that and removed them properly. But it went on for over a week more until I seen the new doctor. Do I need someone to blame? No, I have four healthy children and the twins were completely unplanned and unexpected. Do I want another woman to ever deal with the mental trauma I did and do suffer every day??? NOOOOO. I have issues just going to the doctor now, after his attack! He has the bedside manner of a rattlesnake. He is the true definition of, "just because someone knows how to do something or can pass the tests, doesn't mean they should do it."

The office was prompt and courteous. His bedside manner was less than nice. There were times when he would make negative comments wrapped up in a smile. I would actually feel intimidated to see him without my boyfriend too, because that's when he made his "jokes"

Condescending to the point of being obnoxious. Borders unprofessional. At least 8 appointments with the individual, 1 delivery and only 1 appt. being average/normal expectations of a doctor.

My labor was difficult because of shoulder dystocia and he tried to make me feel like it was my fault because I didn't get an epidural. (I'm not a doctor, but it's my understanding that epidural's are for pain relief and do not prevent shoulder dystocia). My son is partially paralyzed from the injuries he received at birth and Dr. Locklear had the nerve to make me feel like I wasn't trying hard enough even though he was stuck, and that was not my fault. My infant and I have both been traumatized from the treatment we received from Dr. Locklear.

Probably one of the most professional, friendly, proficient offices I've visited. Dr. Locklear is knowledgable, friendly and a very skilled surgeon. I highly recommend him.

My family I love Dr.Locklear. He saw me all thought my pregency and I always remebered me and were I should be at . He always took the time to listen and understand me. He did what I ask of him and didn't trick me like I was dump or medically changalled like some doctors.After all it was my third pregnany, also he and his staff informed me of changes and new things. My daughter was born healthy and my results were great. Thanks, Dr.Locklear
