Dr. Brenda Jo Harris, MD

Dr. Harris takes the time to see you when it's your time to see her. She has an excellent reputation, which is so important. She doesn't mince words, but informs in ways that make dx and your situation doable. She's very present with you when you are receiving medical attention, doesn't rush, and she cares.

Dr. Harris is a caring, approachable and patient doctor. It makes the visit as pleasurable as it can be and you leave feeling heard and cared for.

I haven't had the next appointment so I don't know about the follow up yet.

I had visited with all the providers at Women's Health during my pregnancy and found Dr. Harris to be above and beyond excellent. She was very caring and passionate towards my special needs as I had hypertension and gestational diabetes. She took her time with me and I never felt rushed out the door during any of my appointments with her. I recommend her and the Women's Health group to anyone!

Dr. Harris delivered my Twins via C-Section. I had never met her before the delivery but she happened to be on call the night I had my babies. I had specifically chose to have a C-Section to avoid the use of suction or forcept in the delivery because I had heard horror stories of Twin deliveries using these tools. So I went in for the delivery and 2 hours later I got to see my babies. Dr. Harris came in our room later that evening. I asked how the delivery went etc. and she said it was fine but gave no further details. 12 days later a large lump appears on my sons head. I took him directly to the emergency room. They asked about his delivery and if suction was used. I kept telling them no and then had to keep explaining that I had NOT dropped my son or abused him in anyway. It was traumatic. He then had a cat scan that revealed the lump was full of blood but hadnt caused any serious damage. When I got home we watched the delivery tape my husband took for the first time and sure enough… Dr. Harris used suction on my son during a C-Section! And then NEVER TOLD US! Next story: A year later I saw a differnt Dr. about abnormal bleeding and pain. I had an ultrasound on my overies. They said to expect a call that week from a Doctor to discuss results. Weeks went by and no call. I assumed everything was alright but finally called and spoke to nurse. She was shocked that no-one had called because the results showed a pollup in my uterus. Then she told my that the person who reviewed my results and didn't call was Dr. Harris!! Hope whomever else sees this Doctor doesnt experience what I did. Beware!
