Dr. Brent Richard Burnette, MD

Dr. Burnettt was great. The office, leaving me wanting.

I was a patient of dr Burnette for several years. One day he and his staff decided that I wasn't good enough for their practice and my appointment and reffered me out of their office

Excellent care in initial visit. Explained my issues and how to alleviate symptoms. Listened to my detailed discussion with attentiveness. Actually felt relieved to find a dr I could relate to.

I did not have a good experience with this doctor. The staff was nice though, so the one star is for them. I was there for a second opinion. I already knew the basics of my condition. I had specific questions I needed answered with my particular set of rare immune issues to accommodate. It was like this doctor had a script and a stopwatch and nothing could break him away from it. I tried to ask questions, he put his hand up to stop me, said, "let me finish," and forced me to listen to a 10 minute speech on information I already knew. I tried a couple of times to say I already knew the basics and get him to listen to my specific questions. He held up his hand twice to stifle me. Mind you, I am not a pushy or exceptionally talkative person. Finally, after he finished his speech (some of which was word for word of information I'd previously found on webmd), and my 10 minutes were up, he permitted me to speak...for about 2 minutes. I know most allopathic doctors have 10-15… minutes to consult with a patient. Knowing My set of immune issues is more complicated and critical to the care I receive from any practitioner, I do my best to convey that information quickly so the doctor is able to accurately assess if they have the capability, or even desire to treat me. Given 80% of my appointment was wasted listening to information I already knew, and my final attempt to convey critical health information was interrupted and dismissed quickly, I was certain this doctor would not be willing or able to treat me for anything. After agreeing that the report My other doctor gave me didn't have enough information to fully diagnose anything, he refused my request for an ultrasound. "Nope." Again, the hand went up to stop me from speaking, when I tried to explain why I felt the need for the more concise information I would get from an ultrasound. He did push for surgery regardless, pushing even after I mentioned concern about accommodations for my immune conditions. Said he would get me a list of surgeons, and left abruptly. I was not even given the list of surgeons. I found myself wondering as I walked out, if he treated all his patients this way, or just middle aged women. The paperwork they have you fill out before the appointment was kind of odd, requiring that you agree that once you see one doctor in the group, you will not try to switch to another. There were also agreements to sign about behavior in the office. Really??? Makes you wonder why and how often these things have happened in the past for them to include it in new patient forms. I have NEVER seen requests like that in an intake form. Very weird, and rather unsettling. There are two adjoining waiting rooms for the group. Both were empty when I arrived, and when I left. When I arrived, before I could fill out the forms and see the odd requests about changing doctors and office behavior, they called me in for the appointment...a half hour early. They asked me to finish filling out the intake after my appointment was over. After I knew I didn't like this doctor. I signed it anyway, because anyone that would treat me that way and ask me to agree not to change doctors had ME dismissing the entire group...forever. I might have gotten upset about being treated as a non person, but it all happened too fast. I walked out feeling kind of stunned. Not impressed. I do not recommend. At all. Particularly if you have any special needs.

Was immediately at ease with Dr Burnette and felt as though I was in good hands. I have the utmost confidence I'm receiving the best care possible. Highly recommend! The only concern or issue I have is with the response of the office patient portal. This could definitely use some improvement.

I was impressed by Dr. Burnette. He performed a colonoscopy on me in 2014. He found a pre-cancerous lesion and removed it. He seemed to be a caring person.

I am very sick with an esophagus infection, and Dr. Burnette was right on top of it, scheduling me for an endoscopy the very next day.

Great Doctor until he gets frustrated at the authorization process. You are then left dangling on a rope to coordinate your own care.

Went to see Dr. Burnette on a referral for a procedure. He was very competent and caring. Took the time to answer my questions. Before, and after, the procedure he spoke to me and gave me his opinion on what needed to be done in the future. I recommend Dr. Burnette highly.
