The worst doctor I have encountered in a long time. Says my 90 year old mother needs to "prepare" for diaylisis; her state 4 kidney disease is serious enough for THAT, but NOT serious enough for her to be experiencing any of the symptoms my mom is having as a result of chronic kidney disease. Even presented doctor with written information from the Mayo Clinic that clearly describes these symptoms associated with chronic kidney disease, yet she insisted none of them could be the result of of mom's kidney disease because her condition is not severe enough for her to be experiencing any of these symptoms as a result of stage 4 kidney disease .... it must be something else!! There are medications that are prescribed to slow the progression of chronic kidney disease and when I asked her about it, she flat out told me no ... she doesn't do that. If that's what my mom wanted to pursue, she would have to see someone else! Doesn't do that???? Do WHAT??? prescribe medication to help… mitigate a disease and provide some relief for the discomfort a patient is experiencing?? Absolutely ridiculous. So, Mom's condition is "not serious enough" for that, yet so serious she wants to do vein mapping in preparation for diaylisis??? At 90 years of age, my mom is a little hard of hearing. At our first appointment, we established in our conversation that the doctor should direct her questions and comments to me as my mom could not hear and/or understand what Dr. Raju was saying. Worked great until I started asking more questions and pushed back a little bit. Then, she refused to even look at me and would only address my mother, who could not understand a thing she was saying. (mother kept looking at me saying, what?? what??). VERY rude and condescending. Only interested in pursing a course of dialysis (even though in her own assesment, mom's condition is not that serious yet), could care less about the over-all well-being and experience of her patient. She must own a nice percentage of the diaylisis center. THE WORST!!

My husband is a doctor and has been ill. We love this doctor. She is caring and very knowledgable. She comes highly recommended by her doctor patient.
